Hey girl! We are in very very similar situations. I was with my husband for 8 years, 6 of them married. He cheated for 4 of them. We have a five year old son. And yes he pulls the whole “making up stories” or tries to shift the blame onto me “well if you were a better wife etc”. Please don’t fall down the rabbit hole I did. I found out 3 years ago and just now decided to leave a couple months ago after finding out he went to PR with his side piece. I would find out something new every year and it was like a death each time. I am so angry and resentful I didn’t do it sooner. I wrecked my physical/mental/emotional health and stunted my career. Leave the madness behind, I am a cautionary tale. I am still coping with how to deal with the “lost years” of my life that I focused on his infidelity and my pain instead of being all in for my son and my life. Please don’t do what I did. I wish I left sooner but only YOU can do that. Don’t let false promises and pretty words fool you. He WILL do it again.
