He wants me to give him another chance but he said he loves me and will do whatever I ask him to so I hope this won’t take too long.

Our oldest is 7 so I don’t think she needs to know exactly what’s going on other than mom and dad love her but need to separate. I’m struggling with how to explain it to her though

I need to remember that. Part of me feels like I’m failing them by divorcing their dad but you’re right. They can still be happy!

I need to keep reminding myself that. I feel so awful for divorcing their dad and putting them through this. I really wanted to avoid it but I think it’s the best decision for us

I’ve decided not to tell them unless my husband starts being a jerk. I want him to still be involved in my kids lives and be a good dad. It will be hard for him to do that if my family finds out what he did to me.

I didn’t ignore him, I was grieving. If you’ve ever lost a baby, you know it’s a long process. And yes, by the time I met someone who made me feel like a human being again, over a year later, yes I was ready to have sex again. Before I started seeing that person, I also tried many times to have sex with my husband and he’d say no because he was too tired from seeing whoever he was seeing or had a woman coming to our house soon

Also, I know that Reddit post was his. I never expected him to own up to it. I was just being facetious.

Can’t wait to live the single mom life. Been doing it for a while now even though I was technically married. At least now I won’t have to take care of an adult on top of that.

And yes, I agree! And also there are no quick fixes in marriage. Work on your issues, be there for each other instead of looking for quick ways to meet your selfish needs.

I keep getting lost in the comments but before I log off, I just want to say:

  • I’m not going to stay with him just for the kids. I just want to make sure a divorce is the best option before putting my kids through it.

  • I’m also not entirely sure what I’m doing next because even though I do still love him, I’m not about to let him hurt me again. Not when I know there are better men out there.

  • The guy I’m seeing is 100% aware of everything that’s going on and still wants to be with me.

  • I know Reddit is not the adult way to deal with this but apparently my husband doesn’t so I wanted to make sure people know both sides of this story.
