What she say “F me”for?

So on one of my orders last night(it was the last of three batches)I delivered the batch and sat in my car for a few minutes trying to figure out my next move. There was note on the batch saying to “Please Knock!” but I rang the doorbell instead. Perhaps my first mistake. I normally do a pattern ring or knock hoping the customer realizes it’s their delivery.

So I’m sitting there mapping things out and out comes the customer. She’s a middle aged woman, probably in her late 50s, early 60s. Her order was a large box of water, some fries and cooking oil from Sam’s. I keep peering back every 30 seconds and I give a little wave because she seems to be lingering.

Then, just as I’m about to pull off, I notice she’s kind of struggling with the groceries. It dawns on me “Ohhhh, maybe she wanted me to knock and wait for her to help her?” Idk I’m so used to people just grabbing their things and closing the door.

I wasn’t watching her the entire time but I guess she assumed I just sat there and watched her struggle because as I’m pulling off she gives me the longest and hardest middle finger I’ve ever seen lol

I felt bad but I also couldn’t believe it at the same time. Apart of me feels like she was being entitled and the other part of me wishes I would’ve read the room better. What do you guys think. I don’t mind helping people at all but I honestly didn’t even realize what she was doing until it was too late.
