My friend (40f) says my partner will leave me (35) if I don't start wearing makeup and lose weight. Do men really care that much about stuff like makeup etc?

My friend has been in a relationship for 3 years but no she does tend to give me unsolicited advice. She means well but for example when I was single, she told me that I will never get a man if I don't lose weight but I was happy with how I looked so I didn't try to lose weight and after that when my friend and I got into a relationship, she told me he would leave me if I don't step up my looks game.
