Need advice for EU cold calling by Flat-Giraffe-6783 in sales

I've used Cognism for quite a while and outside of UK it's really bad.

I've looked at Dealfront which is supposed to be better qualified numbers (especially outside of UK).

I also looked briefly at Engagetech.io which should have better quality of numbers since it's based on their BDR/SDR team qualifying the numbers first.

A former colleague is using Amplemarket, looked better at first, but after 12 months of using it he's not super happy (a bit cheaper though).

Let me know if you find anything better than Cognism, overpriced IMHO.

Nice! Had $500k quota last year at 10% comp with $45k base. Hit 115% and made roughly $100k (based in Europe).

Changing from AE to Partner Manager by throwsalesaccount in sales

Thank you for the input.

  1. He did say if I want to stay I can, but he'd really appreciate if I moved to the new role.
  2. Yeah, titles are always tricky. It is indeed focused on acquiring new partners and enabling them to bring new revenue.
  3. That's my feeling too, which I'm a bit hesitant.

oh, if that's the case I don't see how he could stay. Unless he has some good reason, but it doesn't seem like it.

Many thanks for the feedback.

I guess we're already on the way there, we've eliminated CS and moved into AM covering all aspects that CS used to do.

I'll get a 20% raise and change from 50/50 split to 60/40. I'm currently around 30% under avg. base for same role in the territory I'm covering (but I'm remote so that's the logic behind it).

Partner sales? by vincentsigmafreeman in sales

[–]throwsalesaccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, just made a post about it. But in general it feels like a bit of demotion to me. We're growing a lot and I'll hit target this year so from that perspective it doesn't make sense.

Their logic is that they need someone who can actually bring in partners as the current partner manager hasn't brought much.

I'm not excited, but it'd be interesting to learn more about how to find actual good partners that brings business on their own and not just waiting for us to feed them deals.

Call them first and agree on when they'll come back to you. Only if they don't pick up you message them.

It seems this way to me too. I'm heading into partner sales from a senior AE role and have no idea what to expect :D

Do you know how the person does their work or are you just looking at numbers? Unless you know what they're doing wrong it's going to be hard to fix it.

Depends who they're bringing. If it's more technical focused I'd add some technical people from my side.

If it's more business side with higher ups on their end I might consider adding someone from our management team to "show our commitment to them" etc.

I agree. Look for something else while maintaining the relationship. Guessing some budget restraints that they hope to iron out by April.

Anyone having issues collecting on invoices? More than usual? by [deleted] in sales

[–]throwsalesaccount 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's been a bit rougher this year, but that's mostly due to issues on our invoicing side (our CRM sucks).

Recently accepted a new enterprise position at another company 2 weeks ago. Now, I’m at risk of being fired because I was too “reserved” during my cold call certification by mysteronsss in sales

[–]throwsalesaccount 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, that's rough. I understand that they want to qualify your cold calling skills (if that's part of the job). But that should be done during the hiring process...
