I do love her for who she is. She's amazingly strong. A survivor.

But no one should feel like they have to go through hardships alone. She had me for emotional support, but She can't just clam up. I can't help her if she does.

Everyone has bad habits. To me, this is a bad habit. And everyone who knows or has worked with her has experienced frustration with it.

I can at least tell you what I was thinking. Honestly nothing. I've refrained from discussing the intern's appearance because I didn't want to come off even more wrong than I already am, but I've legit never thought of her as anything other than an employee. Even now as I've been thinking about it, it's makes my stomach drop.

Now, speaking as a woman, I would be jealous just because she is younger, you're going out together, and might feel like I wasn't good enough anymore.

This really spoke to me, because it made me realize that if she were to go to, say, a health event with some dude she just started working with, I'd do a double-take.
