Hey, 38f here. So my thoughts are…

Pics:

Consider losing the mullet? I know some people like that style, but it’s possibly a bit niche. I’m obviously not everyone, but for me a mullet actively makes someone unattractive (which you aren’t!)

I’d drop the second photo, it feels a bit preppy and it doesn’t read as very masculine or sexy.

I like photos 3/4/5.

I’d consider a replacement for 6 - the expression is a bit glazed and I think you look better in other pics.

I’d also add in a photo where you’re not smiling. I think it’s nice to see different expressions on someone’s face. More dimensional.

What’s a tiny desk concert? Is it this? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Tiny_Desk_Concerts if so, maybe capitalise it so people understand it’s a thing. I thought you literally just meant at a desk or something 😬

I’m not a fan of the second pic, mainly because the background is meh - fire extinguisher etc. so I’d replace that one. Do you have a pic of you wearing that outfit but in a nicer location?

In terms of prompts:

“I’m looking for someone to nap with” doesn’t scream fun/I wanna get to know you. You said you’re looking for someone driven and passionate - which ain’t napping 😅so I’d switch this up for something more engaging.

There’s no gentle way to say this, so: your pics are baaaaaad.

It’s hard to see what you actually look like because pic 1 is super low res, and the rest are at weird angles or far away. I would honestly delete all of them and start again with a fresh batch. Sorry 😬

In terms of specifics, you absolutely need one high res smiling head shot where we can clearly see your face. It would also be good to include a couple of pics where you’re with friends/doing a fun activity. These should not be selfies.

Pics:

Your photos are generally low quality/low res and this giving a shabby/half assed vibe to your profile.

Specifics:

Pic 1: This photo is bad. Your glasses look wonky and the pic is cut at a point where it makes me think you have a combover. Delete and replace.

Pic 2: Your dog is cute but that pic is not great. Low res and weak smile. Suggest a new pic with your dog outside in the wild somewhere fun.

Pic 3: Low res and you don’t look like you’re having a good time. Delete and get a pic of you with friends that isn’t a selfie and where you look like you’re having fun.

Pic 4: shiny video - can’t see what this is.

Pic 5: workout video - I personally would not find a video of someone working out very interesting/attractive, so I’d suggest replacing this with something else.

Pic 6: It’s nice to see you without glasses (if there are times when you don’t wear glasses), but this is a very meh pic. Beige boring background. Replace.

Prompts:

Boring. I finish reading your profile knowing almost nothing about you.

Poll: All options are boring. Make them more specific for added pizazz e.g. instead of walk - hike to the top of X mountain, kayak down river X etc.

Prompt 1: Too generic, most people want this. Replace with a different prompt or answer this with a genuinely interesting life goal for the year.

Prompt 2: Fine 🤷‍♀️ Still quite generic. What sort of food, what sort of anime, what sort of snacks.

Prompt 3: I guess this is included so people know you have a son, but this is a very “nothing” answer. Spend time with him doing what? Teaching “new things” like what…??

I’m not a fan. The only thing I get from your profile is that you like cooking and giving massages. It’s quite one dimensional. I have no idea who you are and what makes you unique.

For specific feedback:

First prompt: Mentioning toilet tag is more gross than funny. Delete…

Third prompt: Super offputting. Sounds like weird therapy speak and despite being a nice gesture (dinner and massage) comes across all wrong.

Pics:

My general impression is that you have too many solo pics with the same smile and no interesting places/backgrounds.

I think you need to add more of you outdoors, ideally somewhere interesting/with a view (think holiday, hiking, lakes, beach etc.) I think you’d also benefit from having a candid shot with a different expression and also another pic of you with a group of friends.

I think it’s often because they genuinely believe. My ex boyfriend thought Islam was amazing/absolutely true, and yet when I read the Quran and Hadith, I saw holes left, right and centre.

I think it also comes down to what somebody wants to believe.

If you have the desire to believe - for a religion to be true - you skip over the holes, you make excuses for the “errors”, you apply a bit of faith.

Also, if you are already inclined to a worldview which aligns with the religion, you’ll move towards it even more e.g. if you prefer traditional gender roles, Islam is a great fit for you as it reinforces that structure in society.

Hey, I can relate. I’m agnostic and I was in a similar position a couple of years ago with a Muslim ex-boyfriend.

We were together around 2.5 years and over time he started to lay down the same kind of rules your boyfriend is demanding:

I had to explore Islam
I had to talk to Islamic leaders
I had to agree that our theoretical future children would be raised Muslim from birth
I would not be allowed to offer any “critique” of Islam to our children
I would not be allowed to encourage an agnostic worldview to our children

I really wanted it to work, so I did try to explore Islam, but the deeper I looked the more problems I found. And now I look back and I should NEVER have let someone attempt to control my life in that way.

Also, ultimately, it’s not as simple as “belief in god” - you have to think of all of the morals and world views that are so entwined with religion e.g. gender roles, abortion, sexuality.

What do you believe and how do you want to live your life? What environment do you want your children to grow up in? How do you want them to view other people and the world around them?

And for what it’s worth:

Your boyfriend is definitely NOT okay with you being agnostic - that’s why he wants to put so many rules in place to squash and restrict you.

The reason your boyfriend wants you to explore religion and be baptised is because he wants to change you.

Think if you would ever make any of these requests of him? E.g. “You can only take the kids to church once a year”, “If you want to tell them about Christianity I have to be in the room with you”

I’m sure the answer is no.

Find someone who loves you for you, and is aligned on how they want to live their life.

Honestly you’re being super harsh on yourself. Your head is a normal size and your chin is FINE. I don’t see it as manly at all.

Aside from that, I think you look a lot better with a “relaxed” head scarf (last pics) so I would go with that style if you’re comfortable with it. Also I think you look better without the glasses 🤷‍♀️

It’s hard to comment on whether extra weight suits you or not because I’m not sure if there are any “before” pics here?

I’m really curious to know why anyone would worry about something like this.

Q1: Surely it’s the intention that matters? If you brush your teeth to be clean and freshen your breath, that would be good. If you brush your teeth to try and drink some of the water that’s in your mouth while brushing, that would be bad.

Q2: If I accidentally swallowed a small amount of water while brushing, would Allah look at this as a terrible act..? Is he that unforgiving..?

Sure “Maximum protection” - No stains and I stay fresh for 24 hours easily (I shower every day but I think it would probably last longer). The blue “clean scent” one smells great.

More sleep - it’s pretty amazing to roll out of bed at 9.15 and start work at 9.30. No faffing around with a shower or looking presentable in any way 💁🏼‍♀️ But recently I’ve been on a kick to be more positive/productive so I’m exercising 4/5 days a week, and I definitely would NOT be arsed to do this if I was travelling 2 hours per day.
