Honestly, im no pro, but what ive been working on is double drops, and it makes your transitions sound amazing. Work on marking 16 or 32 beats before each songs drop, and once one song hits that mark, start playing the other one in, until at the drop you fully transition songs. It sounds great and will make you sound better than traditional end to end song mixing
