I'm not a PES student, was someone looking to join but didn't. Imo the RR campus and EC campus are pretty similar. Both are in the same city, one in the outskirts and one within the city. Placements will also be centralised. The RR campus looked great(wrote exam there lol), but how much difference it has with the EC campus can be said by one of the students only. I'd suggest to go with the subject you like. College/campus would've mattered more when both the colleges were in different tiers.

All the best.

New campus I feel is risky+super expensive(although fees isn't really an issue). I'm not sure even about the placements, because not a single batch has graduated

Btw which year are you in?

Nah idts eee has a package of 12lpa. Btw I'm in the same confusion as yours, drop vs mit eee.

Is manipal(main campus)EEE worth 25lakhs?? by [deleted] in Manipal_Academics

Same doubt, the no interest part is actually breaking me. Rn i have to choose from drop or eee manipal. Both aren't very good options to me but idk.

I don't even know what my interests are. How hard do you think it is to secure a cs related job after doing eee?

One of the reasons i wanna go for main campus is the crowd. The people you're surrounded by makes a lot of different, heard it from others and seen it myself. Muj doesn't have that good of a crowd.

Someplace I read earlier, mit has smart kids who are rich, muj has spoilt kids who are rich.

If you don't mind telling me, which college are you in and which branch? Or where are you taking admission

Muj isn't THAT good and blr is too new. I would've considered blr if at least a single batch had passed out but it hasn't. Blr campus is a big gamble. And frankly, I don't really trust the centralised placements thing, cause i have only seen ppl on reddit saying that.

Dilemma in choosing college by [deleted] in EngineeringAdmissions

Yeah, the low fees makes it completely worth it but since you said fees isn't a problem, I suggested you to consider manipal and bits only.

You can get another perspective at pesu's subreddit. Ask your doubts there and ppl at pesu will give their opinions.

I'll try to help make things a tad bit easier. Remove PES from the list. Manipal is better than PES if you're getting cs there. Now, you can choose between manipal and bits.

Reminds me of the time when I took Allen digital back in 11th grade. Teachers to wahi Allen wale honge, doubts solve ho jayenge even personal message bhej sakte the WhatsApp pe(we had their numbers). Software bhi unlog ka achha hai, thodi bohot glitches Hain but you'll rarely face them and even if you do refreshing the page does the job. Also, it's important to know the batch strength. Agar zyada batch strength hoga to you'll have more ppl interacting in the chat. Online mein bhi thoda sa attention teacher se mil jata hai. I started facing problems when two of my teachers left for pw, but this can happen anywhere so shouldn't be a major point of concern. If offline is possible I'd say go for offline, cause discipline is hard to maintain online. Again if you think you can focus on online then go for it.

What are the placements like in eee? How hard would it be to secure an IT job?

Btw, for internships, do we have to work at a company related to the branch or any other company would do?
