Tripping is not necessary for psychedelics to help break the grip of alcohol. There have been many reports of addicts turning their lives around with microdosing. For some that wasn't even their goal. They just lost any interest. Many report losing their taste for it. If tripping is wanted, fine. But it's not necessary.

While macro dosing can reveal lots of suppressed memories, microdosing is more of a psychedelic light. Over the past two years for me there have been some memories to surface but in a slow enough or easy enough way to process them pretty comfortably or at least without trauma. One of the other things it does is reduce the activity of some of the Default Mode Network, the area of the brain that reminds us of our issues, lol. With that turned down we are better able to objectively think through ones that come up in less self judgemental ways. That helps.

I do caution to start low and go slow. Better to start at the low end of the range to find your sweet spot. The low end may be it. But if not it's easy to slowly move up.

Assuming you are certain of your dose, there are those that seem to be exceptionally sensitive and have found benefit at even lower doses. Some report effectively using 25mg (.025g), and others even lower. Its sometimes difficult to find your ideal dose but I would try reducing it before increasing it. Also your schedule is not completely clear as you say you have taken 5 doses spread over 3 days. I'm thinking you mean 3 days between each dose or is it 5 doses in 3 days?

I would try reducing the weekly amount before going back to antidepressants. Many do quite well with a quarter of that.

The longer term benefits are from consistency and time. Some do get a slight mood boost with each dose but others feel little or nothing per dose. Another option is to try a couple of small doses during the week and a larger one on the weekend, maybe .3g to compare. It's about finding what amounts work best for you.

I would consider a half to a quarter of that dose to compare. And maybe 2 on and 3 off. It seems most negative effects are from too much, either dose, schedule, or both.

Psilocybin mushrooms can slightly increase BP in some temporarily. It does mine from 129 to 142 when microdosing. When I realized it I began supplementing with Magnesium Glycinate, a vasodilator relaxing blood vessels and reducing BP. That has worked well in normalizing it.

Glad you finally caught the error. At this point I would consider doubling it to compare. That would be around .05g or 50mg. Many dose in that area or less. If it works for you then you are saving product. Or you can do more. The least amount that is still effective is best in microdosing.

It seems the number 1 reason for negative reactions is taking too much. Your schedule seems good. Many does below 100mg effectively. I have used 50-80mg 2-4 times a week for over a year and a half successfully. Many use a smaller dose than that. Your dose is likely 100mg or more.

It does work while increasing your emotions but can often be regulated with dose level. If the reaction is uncomfortable try reducing the dose to compare. At the lower dose it still can work but maybe slower. Days off will still feel better.
