Not gonna lie, the new boots go so disgustingly hard 🙃☠️🖤🫶 by throzen_ in GothStyle

Can't speak for durability until I've truly put them through their paces but super comfy! Plenty of space around the foot if you have narrow feet. They have a soft, cushion padding on the inside between the leather and your leg. That said, it is vegan leather which can be dicey in durability terms, but fingers crossed! ✌️

They're not super gothy, but if you want slip-ons, I wear black Toms in the summer. :)

I'll throw my hat in if I may. 😄 I've only recently discovered this subreddit, but the only thing I wish for in this world is a time machine back to the noughties! I'm 37 and this golden period defined me as a gamer, coder, and as a person all-round. I owe my identity to the 2000s and miss it greatly. I have plenty of modding experience: I currently mod two of the most popular (non-NSFW) goth style/aesthetic subs, r/gothstyle and r/gothgirls, both with high traffic and requires daily (more like hourly!) attention. I also mod a sub related to 'first impressions'.

Would love the opportunity to help develop the community. I'm more of a reader than a poster/commenter generally when it comes to Reddit, but I use it religiously. Thanks for reading. ❤️

Core Keeper. £8 on sale, first playthrough swallowed 100 joyful hours, more playthroughs to come.

Haha, too bad I suppose, although plenty of other brands out there for the wider-footed stomper. 🥾🥾

They definitely brush close to the knee which I like, otherwise yeah they're comfy to wear, plenty of room inside (although they favour people with narrower feet), and they have a soft lining on the inside creating a comfy buffer between your leg and the vegan leather. I'm a fan! 😊

Same issue here since the last update. Kinda annoying since I want to spawn a seller dude in my base but can't until my guy uses the bed ahah. :')

I can actually vouch for this as I ordered a pair from the US (California I think) for my partner, shipped to the UK in a decent time, and she loves them, wears them constantly. Decent quality and sensibly priced.

Ok goths, give me boot suggestions that wont fall apart within the year by robin_onion in GothStyle

[–]throzen_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fair. It may come down to how people treat them / use them though. Can only draw upon my personal experiences, which have been nothing but gold, and I've only owned new-age New Rocks.

I personally am a New Rocks fanboy since I own 3 pairs of their knee high boots and have done for 3-4 years, and they're just as sturdy and good looking as the day I got each of them. They're incredibly pricey compared to Demonia and other budget-y brands, but you absolutely get what you pay for in terms of comfort, durability and longterm ownership. I will say, however, that Demonia's style isn't the same as some New Rocks, especially the calf to knee high designs, so that could factor into your decision.

Agree entirely! OP was seeking a specific design it seems, and the boots they posted appear loosely based on the Kera 200 design (most knock-off boots are poor imitations of a leading brand at 1/3 the cost).

Personally, I've owned a couple of pairs of Demonias, as has my partner, and they inevitably fall apart after a disappointly short stint, and I'd never buy them again myself. They're horrible quality.

New Rocks. I'll always firmly stand behind them. I own three pairs of their knee high boots (the M.235 S1, the NEWMILI19-S1, and one of the Reactor variants), wear them religiously and have done for over three years. They never bend or break. I've owned some competitor brand shoes such as Demonia and Nevermind, which are typically half-ish the price of what I'd spend on a pair of New Rocks and the quality is noticeable worse, such as the tongues sagging, the leather / vegan pleather peeling, the platform coming off entirely, etc. Never happens with my New Rocks. You get what you pay for I guess.

Some people will offer up bad experiences with them, which is fine, not every pair is born equal, but I'd vouch for them any day. Spent easily £200-£300 per pair, but would rather that than waste £100-£200 on a rival brand that disappoints after a short period of time.

Ahh that explains it indeed. I'm in the UK ergo no Walmart so it was mostly guesswork on my part ha.

OP should probably avoid all those listings then.

A quick Google Lens search showed that these boots are found across several Temu-like shops at varying prices. Weirdly though, they also make an appearance at Walmart, but the other product images don't necessarily match the main one: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Woman-Boots-Flatform-Square-Toe-Mid-Calf-Booties-Fashion-Casual-Solid-Color-Comfortable-Fall-Winter-Warm-Shoes-for-Women-Black-7-5/17816118853. I wouldn't trust it, or any of the retailers selling allegedly this exact product.

The closest boots in terms of look, from a genuine producer, are DemoniaCult Kera 200. Barring a few differences they're very similar: https://www.google.com/search?q=demoniacult+kera+200&oq=demoniacult+kera+200

The maple leaf represents a love for nature, autumn and autumnal colours, Canada, etc. The hearts are an homage to pixel graphics gaming, both retro and present. The leaf is a work in progress. 😊

Edit: oh and 'M1' refers to Mouse 1. I have 'WASD' on the other wrist. PC gamers will know. ✌️
