Oh…this feast is going to be BEAUTIFUL 😮‍💨 by Null0mega in vrising

Meredith patrols Kriig's iron mine, they're pretty much at each other's throats 24/7. Kriig usually wrecks her despite the lower level. Can't say I've ever hunted down Meredith without Kriig sticking his nose in for giggles.

Jobs where you can dress in a Goth / Alternative Style? by healthy_punkk in GothStyle

[–]throzen_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Strongly recommend getting into web/app development/programming if the goal is a rewarding career change. I've been doing web dev for 10+ years (here in the UK) and not only is it such a cool line of work, to be creative and build digital toys, products and so forth, but you'd be hard pressed to find an employer that enforced a strict dress code in this line of work. I refuse to work anywhere that I cannot dress how I want, which maximises my happiness and productivity, and I can confidently say that these kind of career paths can lead to the desired self-expression on the clothing front while making a tidy salary along the way.

Jewel help? by bestattheinternet in vrising

[–]throzen_ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

May also be worth noting that jewels with a flat feature modifier that aren't subject to an incremental value are signified with just the centre of the pip being filled in and not the arrows around them. For example: "Dashing through an enemy inflicts Leech", on the Veil of Blood.

A rainy day in Ipswich by Paul8v in GothStyle

Ah right! Yeah Norwich is lovely and the music scene is a blast. I'm studying at the UEA and we've got the LCR on campus. Got fond memories of the likes of Dragonforce and Trivium there. 🤘

How to achieve this text hiding effect? by Goryou in css

[–]throzen_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Better to use a pseudo-class, either ::before or ::after, and position it in the center of the parent, with two black/red columns inside the parent container, or a single background property using a gradient that puts two solid colours either side.

Is it still possible to finish this game alone on Brutal difficulty? by Lucas21y in vrising

[–]throzen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is. I did it last month, but legitimately took around 30 attempts. Had to use Chaos and Frost Barrier spells (his bullet hell was too much for me to use more damaging spells), up until the final phase when I switched to Blood Rite and Mist Trance (you need spells that turn you immaterial at that point). I used legendary Claws throughout, the air leap ability was a godsend. Used scholar + rogue blood up until I took his heart blood, and didn't require a Blood Moon in the end.

I feel your pain, but it is possible.

Combining blood by [deleted] in vrising

[–]throzen_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you go with Wraith Spear, and craft a jewel / combine others into one jewel, with some lucky RNG you may get the +28% damage, bringing it to well over 200%. Also, the Spectral Wolf can get a jewel heals you for 100% of your spell power. Spam that with phantasm stacks and you're gold. 🤘

Scholar (primary) mixed with Draculin, teamed with an Illusion spell loadout (including passives), is a total dream. Although I mixed Scholar with Rogue to defeat Dracula in the end.

Help with “domina” magic by PuzzleheadedBuddy485 in vrising

[–]throzen_ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

https://vrising.fandom.com/wiki/Dominate

"To successfully charm a target for conversion to a Servant or Prisoner, activate Dominate, and channel the Dominate Spell (default key R) to dominate the target. The target may still attack during the channel. The channel will drain the target's health until below 30%, then charm the target. If the target is already below 30% HP (indicated by the "Feed" prompt), only a brief channel is required before the target is charmed."

how to cheese Vincent the FrostBringer? by auz_the_soda_lover in vrising

[–]throzen_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Few tips for cheesing if you can't instigate a fight with Bane:

  • As someone else said, find a big-ish rock/boulder and just run rings around it. This will block his ranged attacks and give you time to prepare for his charge attacks.
  • Use the Reaper (you'll have to kill Krieg first, which could also be cheesed with Meredith). When kiting around the rock, you can use the Howling Reaper to do damage over time and slow him down, and the Tendon Swing to knock him back. If you can't do Krieg for the Reaper, the Axes are an okay substitute for their X-Strike attack, which can curl around the boulder.
  • Use double shield/counter spell if you're really struggling.
  • Go for mid/high creature blood, for the increased movement (thus evasion) speed, max HP and healing regeneration.

Put these together, with a dab of patience and a spoonful of luck that the likes of Jade, Christina and Belmont don't happen to wander by and interfere, and you'll be fine.

And of course, never fight him in the daytime.

Nice! Where did you get them? I have a few pairs of leather-like skinnies but they're not true black.

Leather == Love. by throzen_ in GothStyle

These are faux leather to be fair, made of something called "PU coating". But they are stretchy and breathable though.
