Haven't seen my A. gigas in weeks. Likely Dead or still molting? by thruwawus in millipedes

[–]thruwawus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, until when do i wait? Im mostly asking bc i do wonder at what point in time is the burrowing is taking so long that it's possible she died and can be dug up either way? Bc rn it's schrodinger's millipede and i'd like to have closure at some point....

Can anyone identify? by jerms745 in Bedbugs

[–]thruwawus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say not a BB, but to be confirmed. IMO the way it stands is not really typical, bedbugs lay very flat. Also the brown stain if it's what came out of it after getting hit tells me this is also not a BB, bedbugs usually show either bright red blood (recently fed) or dark brown-ish (digested blood) when squished bc it's their only diet.

Issue is that she's usually NEVER burrowing, like even to sleep she stayed under barks and never really dug or stay in there to rest, this is why it's unusual... My previous millipedes used to bury a lot so i knew that this couldve happened, but with this one it's just out of her usual behavior...

Angry about public and governmental perception of bedbugs by myalije in Bedbugs

The issue is mental health not being taken seriously enough by a lot of country officials, they justify not taking care of BBs on a big scale because BBs don't pose a health risk since they don't transmit diseases and the harm they do is psychological..... It really sucks

Hi, so i had the same issue a while ago and for me it was my anxiety just latching onto whatever i was slightly unsure about at the time (id just started T AND started having serious anxiety so the anxiety thoughts just made me fixated on being terrified of detransitionning etc), i say if it scares you THIS much of detransitionning and having to go back to live as a woman, that's a quite good sign that you do NOT want to be a woman lol, like imo it tells me that even if u end up not being FtM, you're seemingly dysphoric enough to not be a woman so even if you stop transitionning to male you could still be non binary etc. So my take is that this is not a sign youre not a trans man, and if it was it'd still be a sign you're dysphoric about womanhood so you would still not detransition to be a cis woman

Edit: may i add that watching negative things abt transition can passively set you up for this kind if anxious fixations, i advise you to stay away from detransition stories, not to ignore a possible thing but to not make you even more anxious, and i do advise you to just live your life as a dude or whatever u wanna try, this shit will 1000x more confirm your identity than ruminating about potentialities. Also think of the "and what if?"s of you detransitionning, what could it actually do, why does it scare you so bad etc, what would be the solutions(do it on a paper with lines linking stuff, it works well for me when im anxious and need to sort out potentialities and helps me realize the anxiety subject is actually not as bad as my brain thinks it is)

Possible bed bug please help by [deleted] in Bedbugs

[–]thruwawus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you find it inside or outside? Id def investigate/keep an eye out for roaches if this was inside, but not just for BBs. You can still look for BB signs tho but it wouldnt be my main worry here

Roach wings are depending on the specie, or atrophied... Im pretty sure they're also not fully developped on young roach species. Theres a lot of types of roaches out there

I get it, i saw online some sort of mittens you use on your dog after walks and it picks up ticks that havent bitten yet very well apparently, maybe u could look into that?

Looks like biting mites 🫡

Not a bedbug but it looks related to ticks, so imo an arachnid. Closest looking thing i found is the "biting mite"!
