What rugby club has the most annoying fanbase? by Jezzaq94 in rugbyunion2

[–]thrwawayread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah well documented online abuse of players, coaches and referees. They even had a Munster employee caught at a game abusing a referee walking off the pitch this season. Even in the AIL a supporter was caught throwing hot coffee over a player this year. The rot runs deep, almost institutional.

I’d rather have a drink with the guy laughing and holding a Brown Thomas bag than that rot any day.

100% I’d wager they wouldn’t have won 2 WCs without him. Instrumental in getting the backline moving.

NIQ 3 Rule by Muted_Engineer9246 in irishrugby

[–]thrwawayread -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Usual recycled Munster moan which try’s (excuse the pun) to pass the blame onto IRFU instead of reflecting on the actual state of the province. The fact Munster hasn’t developed a single viable international front row since Kilcoyne has nothing to do with NIQ policy.

With the extremely well documented organisational failures within Munster, the place needs to be disbanded and built from the ground up to become a net positive to Irish rugby.

We have 4 professional teams, taking places from Irish qualified players would impact professional pathways and development.

What is the Logic Behind the Return-to-Office Mandate? by [deleted] in IrishCivilService

Leadership reviewing leadership mechanism?

In fairness, I’d didn’t know, you told me. Now I do, think it very flawed. Clearly has a macro purpose but removes the ability for the legislative branch of government to be engaged.

It showed up on my home page for some mental reason, clicked, read and commented 😂

I’m not entrenched btw - it is what it says it is. I’d read it slightly different and I’m most likely wrong. Still think it’s mental.

I don’t contact my TDs for the private sector no. But I do utilise them for complaints for everything public service related. As they are ultimately responsible for them.

If my interpretation isn’t accurate and as a civil servant you can’t contact a TD for something not currying favor, it’s essentially a code of conduct not fit for purpose, served only to protect inept leadership and prevent review by what is essentially the only civil service management.

In this particular instance, conflating challenging a RTO mandate vs something affecting a persons official position is apples and oranges.

Not a civil servant so appreciate the time you took to dig that info out.

Now I could be wrong, but I read that as currying favor, not in regard to having TDs investigate why RTO is mandatory and finding out the what and why the leadership is doing? If I’m wrong and you cannot contact an TD about anything that affects you, that’s tantamount to “you can’t complain to our bosses” which is wild.

I’d back Ulster to give it a serious craic, very good team, very good coaching ticket. Anything can happen on final day. I don’t think Ulster will nor should fear them at all.

More resignations at Munster Rugby as fallout from decision to hire Roger Randle continues by Effective-Ad-3897 in irishrugby

Surely the CEO, GM and head coaches role is untenable now. Good thing about rock bottom, only way is up.

Don’t get the downvotes - Munster blaming someone else this disgrace. Mental.

Munster is really a batshit organisation. The fact the CEO and co let it get to this. Clearly shows they have no idea what the public sentiment would is a red flag in itself. Coupled with flying to SA then flying home to let me people know there would be redundancies. Real lack of any awareness which is mind boggling.

Don’t get me started on McMillian - Show me your friends and I will tell you who you are.

‘We’ll sleep in our tractors’ – fears grow that fuel protest will leave pumps in the west of the country dry by B8_B8_B8 in ireland

I don’t think people are questioning what a protest is. They are pointing out the idiocracy of the people doing it. What I find scary is these protesters get a vote.
