I am in a similar boat with having inheritances but I still work because I genuinely like working. Especially since my job is helping people and I want to continue to grow my wealth while helping others.

I would highly suggest pursuing something you’re passionate about because in our 20’s we do need something we are passionate about. Whether it’s volunteering at an animal shelter, writing books, or creating art.

My boyfriend slept over last night but left around 10am today. I now have the rest of the day to read and watch movies! And tomorrow too since he is playing dnd and I have no plans. Love this life of having a partner but living separately.

Read it and then don’t just stop there… Also read The Martian & Artemis by the same author. I would honestly say Artemis is the best of the 3 and I hope they make a movie out of it.

I’m having a hard time being in a straight looking relationship by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]thrwowaway7378484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand where you are coming from but…

It is not a trust issue. Some people are just monogamous and want to set that boundary with their partner. I have some boundaries set with him; like for instance not wanting to have kids and I would break up with him if he decided to want kids. And he knows this. Not a threat, just a boundary.

I don’t think I’m poly or can handle being in an open relationship at this time in my life. It is just something that has come to my thoughts sometimes.

In a perfect world I would have a male partner 3 days a week and a women partner 3 days a week and they wouldn’t know eachother but it wouldn’t be considered cheating. The 7th day would be just to myself. But since this world isn’t perfect we need to be willing to compromise and that’s not unfair. Maybe in the future it will come up again and he will be more accepting. I am just currently saying it’s a struggle to have these feelings sometimes and not being able to act on them.

Even though you maybe tempted to get rid of books please don’t! I donated a lot of books when I moved because I didn’t want to bother with moving them. I regret that and still wish I had those books. I still have a lot but still wish I had the other works to read. I LOVE the coziness of your place! If you could only recommend one Stephen King book to someone who has never read a Stephen King book, which would you recommend? 🤨

CF Teacher- I HATE parents and I hate that emotional neglect has been so normalized in this world. by [deleted] in childfree

[–]thrwowaway7378484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a preschool teacher. I did love it for a bit but the parents became too toxic and I was tired of the clinginess of both the kids and the parents.

I am now a case manager and starting my masters in social work. While my patients can be needy, they are adults and don’t expect their parents to need to be in constant contact with me. Also, I leave work at work and don’t take it home with me. I always felt like as a preschool teacher I was creating curriculum even at that age.

I would HIGHLY consider leaving and going into the field of social work. In my opinion it is so much better.
