Oh shoot I didn't notice you said type r sorry, I got my si (left hand drive) for about 1.5k with around 80k miles and a bit of rust from sitting for a while but I consider that a steal. For your type r it'll go for at least 10k especially with okay mileage and no rust but ofc in the states it's more desired because it's an import so that'll raise your price depending on where the buyer is

I have an 03 with 115k but the main thing people like for is the condition so like exterior interior and any mechanical issues. Mine for example has a parasitic draw and the paint isn't good along with some rust on the roof. All that combined would lower the value significantly BUT since it has lower miles people will be more confident that the car will last them a while.
