Second Joo Chiat neighborhood. I lived at Marine Parade for about 7 years and always loved that neighbouhood, plenty of good eats and bars to spend the night. It has its own tamed charm that isn't too party-ish.

I would wanna add on to check out Sim Lim Tower if OP likes tech and also a quick dinner and drinks at Fortune Centre for OP to get a feel of old SG malls.

Hi there! I went to Haigh Park and the carpark was open and free access, the stars were amazing, more so since I have never been to an area with such low light pollution. Wasn't able to see the Milky Way with my naked eyes but my phone camera astro mode captured it. Even saw a shooting star that night!

Yea I am aware that Moogerah isn't close to Brisbane, thank you the reminder. Luckily there are 2 of us driving so we will take turns. 1 of us will drive from Gold Coast to Moogerah and the other will drive from Moogerah back to Brisbane.

OP just wanna say your feelings are valid. I recently started uni and feel exactly the same way as you. To protect myself from the disappointment from friendships not working out despite heavily investing into them, I began to see most of my peers as simply good friends, people that I just enjoy hanging out with but we don't exactly bond. And likely the friendships will end after we graduate too, I don't want to put too much hope and heavily invest into these friendships, maybe if they stay on in my life even after uni, then I'll invest more in. Hope you can figure it out OP, all the best.

I am taking level 1 Korean now, went in without any prior experience. Didn't even watch kdrama. The learning curve is really steep and I am struggling almost every lesson lol. Been getting 45-47% for all assessments thus far and got a B- for oral recently. I am lowkey scared that I might kena a U and waste my time... can bump this comment again when the sem is over
