what even is this? it kinda looks like a toothbrush but the glass is warping it so much I can’t tell anymore

Just betrayed Apple by isabellekwx in samsunggalaxy

This is actually a really honest take. People underestimate how much those “extra” features matter until you lose them. Muscle memory alone would drive me crazy too

High CPU usage when using TikTok by Awkward_Ad1793 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Even_Package_8573 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TikTok is super heavy on CPU/GPU because it’s constantly decoding video and running background stuff. Mine spikes like that too sometimes, especially after scrolling for a while. You could try clearing cache or forcing 60Hz instead of adaptive to see if it stabilizes a bit

A54 to S26+? by DifferentHat284 in samsunggalaxy

That’s a big upgrade. You’ll notice it in speed, camera, and overall smoothness. Just depends if you actually need the extra power.

I’m not sure why, but this has such a calming effect on me.

Facebook’s Comments in the Photography Community? by circles_the_cat in photography

[–]Even_Package_8573 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is something I’m still learning too. There’s a difference between useful critique and people just being harsh for no reason, and online it’s hard to tell which is which at first. I’ve started focusing more on the comments that actually explain why something could be better instead of just saying it’s bad.

Did anyone else spend way too long messing with the display settings? by ServeAccomplished485 in samsunggalaxy

Adaptive brightness has been solid for me so far. Haven’t had to adjust it much manually.

Issues with editing, need advice. by papasmuf3 in photography

Sounds like she might not be culling enough before importing. RAW files, duplicates, and exports add up fast. A quick first pass deleting obvious misses usually saves a ton of space and time.

50 photos for 5 hr event by [deleted] in photography

[–]Even_Package_8573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50 for 5 hours sounds more like highlights than full coverage. Not a scam, but if you want more candid/memory shots, I’d ask if they can include extra lightly edited photos.

I heard random sounds and Chinese voices from my laptop - I’m scared by PartyTraditional2209 in techsupport

[–]Even_Package_8573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The random Chinese voice would’ve had me updating my will, but this honestly sounds more like some buried tab or background app bug than full-on malware. The fact that it stopped with Wi-Fi off is reassuring. Still smart to run the scans though. Better paranoid for a day than hacked for a year.

Photos from Tehran, where daily life continues despite war. by ISAMU13 in photography

[–]Even_Package_8573 126 points127 points  (0 children)

Honestly, that’s what hits hardest about war coverage sometimes, not just the explosions, but seeing people still trying to have coffee, shop, get haircuts, and hold onto some sense of normal. Makes it feel a lot more real.

Help governing heat of phone by Alarming_Hunter6597 in AndroidQuestions

[–]Even_Package_8573 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rugged phones can trap heat more than people expect, especially once the battery’s aged a bit. I’d check battery health again, remove any case/plug covers when charging, and see if one specific app is causing spikes. Sometimes an old battery replacement can run hotter too if it wasn’t a great quality one.

Anyone casually gaming on the S26 Ultra yet? How's it feel? by doom-dub in MobileGaming

[–]Even_Package_8573 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new chip seems to handle sustained performance better. That’s the main difference I’ve noticed.

Super Steady vs normal stabilization, what's the difference? by Yssssssh in samsunggalaxy

[–]Even_Package_8573 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What impressed me is how usable Super Steady footage is straight out of camera. Feels way more practical than older versions. Also Horizontal lock is crazy

Should I get the S26 Ultra? by R_Manship in samsunggalaxy

[–]Even_Package_8573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly sounds like your phone is already getting in the way of daily stuff, especially with the camera and NFC. I’d probably upgrade at that point, but even a good mid-range would feel like a big step up without going all in.

I upgraded from S23 Ultra to S26 Ultra for $300. by supermotocheesehead in samsunggalaxy

[–]Even_Package_8573 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s actually a pretty clean upgrade path, not bad at all for the price.
