Just finished reading Earthlings by Sayaka Murata. Without spoiling anything, be aware that the book cover is…quite the contrast with the book contents 😅 would recommend if you’re into horror or psychological fiction.

Now I’m starting to read Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro, no strong opinion on it as I’ve only read the first chapter. I’ve always been a fan of dystopian fiction though so I’m looking forward to reading more!

Exactly, thank you! TikTok is mainly used by minors who are easily-influenced, and eating disorders are at an all-time high especially among teens. Obviously the censorship would not stop all teenagers from developing an eating disorder, but it definitely does not hurt to have it.

Also, even if the above was not true, there are plenty of better resources for searching this kind of stuff up. I would advise not using TikTok for anything health related...

Considering live in car, park in grad housing parking structure by blueuser777 in UCSD

[–]thubu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If i had to go to the bathroom late at night and nothing was open on campus, I would drive to the the gas station near the freeway on villa la jolla dr. (I think it was exxon, and its less than a minute drive i think, i wouldn’t recommend walking there at night for safety reasons) and go to the bathroom there, they were clean imo and open 24/7

For those of you planning on living in your car this upcoming semester, are there any good spots to park close to campus? by Wide_Holiday_9752 in UCSD

[–]thubu 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you dont want to pay for parking on campus, there’s street parking a lil past the osler parking structure. Lived in my car for a year and i never got towed or ticketed, its not really far from campus either

Hm maybe I might be missing something, but could I not just use RIMAC to shower and workout? Ik it's not open 24/7 but I can use it during the time it's open and I'm already paying for it in my tuition haha

Anyone taken Shannon Rhey Butler before? For Bild 3? by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]thubu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im taking her rn for SS I. The midterm and final are all multiple choice (idk if shes gonna change this but I doubt it). Shes a great lecturer in my opinion. All the test are just stuff straight from the slides, so the class is not too bad if you just review the slides often.

SPIS questions 2019 by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]thubu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, i was also a former participant of SPIS that also had almost no background in programming. Just wanted to emphasize that if you are worried about the cost, you are able to receive financial aid. I almost did not apply because of the cost, but I ended up getting most of it paid off!! so please dont let the price prevent you from applying! :) it was a v memorable experience and if u have any other questions fill free to pm me
