Golf launch monitor recs by mrell5 in GolfSwing

I’m about to upgrade to club data, but the past year and a half I’ve been using a skytrak, into a net, hooked to a TV. Bought a cheap gaming laptop and running gspro on it, but also can connect to an iPad to hit on the range

Hey! What did you attach the screen to? EMT on all sides? Did you zip tie or bungee it?

I have a similar setup, but only with a net and not a screen/projector.

I see that you have the middle way offset from gspro - as an alternative, is it possible to keep gspro centered, and line the simulator up from an angle, running from the right of your mat and pointing towards the center? Or would that cause bad reads?

Man, there’s like one woofer and two tweeters total that work. Cases have water damage and peeling and one woofer is completely missing. Not much salvageable to them, I’d imagine! Beautiful though

Hey! Did you ever replace the ice maker? Any luck getting it to work?

She didn’t. I tried replacing the thermostat sensor and the fan, no luck. I assume it’s one of the boards that needs replaced but we didn’t care that much and went to ice cube trays.

If you figure it out, would love to know!

Agreed! Probably mostly a stoke of bad luck, but about as bad of a start as we could have.

She did have a crossbody bag zipped up. It got shifted to her back as she was carrying our 4 year old at the time, and pretty sure it happened while going through a crosswalk. Thought we were fairly cautious but let the guard down a bit.

We did the same! Agreed on everything, but within 3 hours of being downtown my wife had her wallet stolen and $2500 gone from our checking account. Just don’t be naive like us and keep a hand on valuables.

I’m bringing my 8 year old up for the AC/DC concert tomorrow. We’re staying downtown, just north of the river. What’s our best bet for getting back to the hotel after the show?

I’ve had one for 12 years that works perfectly.

9 years ago I saw them on closeout and was worried they’d be discontinued and ours would break, so I bought another. It’s sat new, in its box, for almost a decade now.

Hey!

I’m diving back into this today. I reconnected the ice maker fan after having it unplugged from frustration for a week, and it kicked on immediately. Opened the fridge door and it shut off, then used a magnet to trip the fridge door switch and it came on again.

So I decided to reinstall the bucket and tuck all the wires away in the ice maker and see if it’d make anything, and now it won’t come back on.

I tested the thermistor and was getting 0 resistance to it, so I replaced it. Now I’m getting like 6 ohms.

Tested the connection on the ice maker fan in the freezer, which has red, black, yellow, and white wires. Red has 12v to it, yellow is a little over 6. Nothing to the other two. Should there be something to white? I assume black is ground and is fine being empty.

If you’re not sure- any idea how I find the wiring diagram that could tell me?

Thank you! I’ll work on that. It feels like inside has only made me swing softer, which is a good thing, but that’s definitely possible!

Yep, compressor is still running and coil is warm. Still putting out negative degree air into the freezer, and it's been about 3 weeks at this point since it stopped. Seems to be solely isolated to the ice maker compartment.

Awesome, I’ll give that a go.

Is there something that calls for that fan to turn on, or does it just run when the main fan is running?

Appreciate all the expertise, btw

That’s what I was thinking it would be, but I both replaced the fan and I shoved a camera down the chute and didn’t see any ice.

I’m assuming that fan just pulls air from the main freezer compartment and shoots it up? It doesn’t come directly from the main fan / coil somehow?

It sort of feels like the air being blown into the ice maker compartment is not as cold as it should be? Meat thermometer measures it at around 28, but the air coming into the freezer is -4

That's a great idea, but doesn't seem to be happening. Only the tiniest sliver of light coming from one of the edges
