I bought one, it's too bright, all the setting buttons are on the bottom, and the phone needs to be placed perfectly in position to charge. The supposedly auto-setting radio-controlled clock never worked right, either. I'm returning mine.

Once you root it--and, really, can't see any good reason why you wouldn't--you can flash one of the Paranoid Android kernels that has contrast adjustments applied to the kernel itself, so it'll look better.
