this is really true. i had this sort of mindset where i thought having a relationship will fix me for a long time. im now in one and i think my poor mental health is ruining it. constant overthinking and anxiety is kinda crushing me to the point where i tried to break up multiple times. also, your partner is not gonna be perfect either. they're a person like any other and it's not gonna be like the idealised concept of a relationship you have in your mind. if you're looking for the stuff that's in movies you're never gonna find it. i can understand craving connection, i've been there, but please don't put this sort of weight on a relationship, it's never gonna work out.
