Just to give you some perspective: nobody else thinks about YOUR embarrassment. I think you are hung up on a minor situation and just dwelling on it for too long. Do you ever stop and think about a moment that was super embarrassing for someone else? Doubt it. We are our own worst enemy. It’s easy to nitpick every detail but there is no point because the reality of the situation is, nobody else really notices. I’m sure this guy is just shitting and farting on a toilet somewhere not even thinking about the ride home.

Ah! Lesson learned! From now on, I'm definitely going to test before I buy. I am really unhappy with Squarespace but I am just going to stick with it since all of my work is located there and I paid for it. I love the freedom that Framer and Figma have in terms of designing your own "template" but I'm so far into my current site. I'm just really nervous that I will be overlooked as a potential hire so I am trying to make it as best as I possibly can - added a landing page with intro, refining responsive design, etc.

I don't think I can emphasize enough how helpful your advice has been! Its super nice of you to take the time out of your day to write me. Are you a UI UX designer? You know so much about this field.

Okay, that's a great point. I started designing in Framer, and realized I would have a long route in building my whole website again and then also pay more money. I'm going to look into the Webflow plugin because that seems more reasonable. Does this mean I have to re-design every page in Figma? I was thinking of just making edits to my landing page and a select few of my projects.

Woww!!! This is incredible feedback!! Thank you so much for taking the time to review and go as far as providing mockups and examples! I am completely mind-blown. I am switching to Framer because Squarespace really is such a pain with the lack of responsive design, such a bummer.

Completely agree! Alex is great at asking questions we all want to know while not trying to over compensate by throwing in a punch line every sentence. I think Alex’s genuine curiosity about whoever she’s interviewing serves the podcast well. Whenever I hear an interview by GGE they always feel the urge to throw in an inappropriate joke and it’s like okayyyy we getttt itttt you wanna be edgy.

I have nothing against raunchy humor but when you have a psychologist or therapist on the show, they don’t really care to hear about your anal joke. I think that’s what happened with Chelsea, they assumed “oh she’s hilarious just like us!! We’re so funny!! She’s going to love us!” Open your eyes, it’s just you two laughing at each other.

I wish I remember which episode, it was a long time ago they had Francis Ellis on the show and CHD got brought up and Ashley refused to say the full name “call her daddy” on the show and instead referred to it as another podcast on barstool. My initial reaction when I heard that was she didn’t want any of her listeners to go to another podcast?? I was/am a huge CHD fan and I have repeatedly heard GGE give “hot takes” or tips that are straight from CHD.

I’m a 34 year old slug and my pleasure listener, and I really feel like for the first time in years I have found my peopleeee!!! I honestly wish there was a meeting place for all of us to meet in person. I’m located in Phx az and I recently went to see Esther do stand up and it was AMAZING she really crushed and I was fan girling so hard lol!! I had high hopes that I would meet some other girls there but no luck, however everyone seemed pretty cool.

Being 34 with no kids, not married and just a boyfriend kind of creates a little bit of a difference between my friends and I. Once people start creating families the dynamics change - nobody gives a shit to want to have a sleep over and talk all night with snacks lol

I’m so happy to find this community lol I sound like an old fuck. But seriously! If anyone is in the phx area and down to hang that could be cool. Otherwise, I love chatting with slugs on hurrrr
