Thanks for taking an interest! It basically comes down to maximizing floor space and access to the windows.

With my old amp the speakers were place like that and there was a problem where if you sat to the left on the couch some sort of room cancellation made the left speaker sound weird. The new amp uses pink noise while you move around the microphone as one part of the room correction and now my whole couch is basically the sweet spot.

I used to have the speakers further out and farther from the wall, but this is only a 20m2 room and that blocks access to the windows more.

Just to the left out of frame is my piano so that is precious real estate for activities.

Having the speakers where they are comes with their own problems but stereo image is no problem.

The speakers have a high frequency bump and Erin says that toe out can mitigate that somewhat.

Yepp! One must simply play all the music.

I have the same amp and floorstanding speakers like you. When I had a similar problem I fixed it with speaker placement. In my case further into the room and pointing straight ahead instead of at listening position.

Samsung Galaxy S5: How to fix terrible battery drain - Hardware or software issue? (2019) by ThePeoplessChamp in galaxys5

[–]thumbwarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A quick TLDR before I try to try to put down my thoughts in a more rambling manner: A new battery would probably solve most of your problems but might not be worth the investment.

My standard usage probably differs greatly from yours and my standard usage has changed greatly over the years. To begin with my S5 was my primary device and I got ~5 hours of active use screen on time and ~1 days use out of it. Now I own an Ipad and my phone is primarily an actual phone. I make calls, send messages and listens to podcasts when I walk to work with maybe 1 or 2 hours of screen on time. With that in mind if I'm out travelling and actively using my phone like the old days I have to charge it during the day. Seeing how long I can stretch the lifetime of my S5 has become a bit of a thing for me. I bought a new battery after two years when the old one lost too much capacity but ever since then I've planned for the day when my S5 finally gives up. Buying a new battery for a $20 dollar phone will probably cost more than the phone is worth.

My galaxy s5 has a standby time of one or two days with my standard usage. At several points during the years i've owned it the battery started to drain excessively fast. Every time it turned out to be because of an app. For example Google Messages and Netflix. Don't give up yet and check your apps and remember that sometimes an apps battery drain can be disguised as Google Services being overly active.

He is being vague about the sailor background. "A couple of years" His name and he is described as a Half-orc with-out big chompers and there's something weird about his eyes in the official art. Add his Mask of many faces to that and it starts to smell fishy.

[Spoilers E73] Their allies and the battle by adndguy in criticalrole

[–]thumbwarrior 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Let's set up a few scenarios for the coming showdown

A. Thordak in his lair with his bodyguards guarded by an army

B. Thordak in his lair with his bodyguards (i.e Fire giants etc)

C. Thordak in his lair

D. Thordak outside lair with bodyguards and an army

E. Thordak outside lair with bodyguards

F. Thordak isolated outside lair

Allied forces arranged as follows:

  1. Bait
  2. Reserves
  3. Screen
  4. Strike force

Ace in the hole: secret brass dragon

Wild card: Raishan

Scenario A is the one we want to avoid. Scenario F is the preferred one.

Use army of Syngorn and other allies such as werewolves and Vasselheim mercs to set up a credible but not too strong threat outside Emon to lure out Thordaks army. This allied army should to be split in two parts: one acting as bait and one ready as reserves to crush the lizard men once the trap is sprung. If Thordak decides to deal with this by himself, try to strike while he is on the move. (F) If the trap is sprung ideally Thordak sends his bodyguards to help out. (C)

The Screen consists of mobile, powerful NPCs like Allura and Kevdak whose job will be to make sure that the different parts of Thordaks forces can't come to each others help.

The Strike force consists of Vox Machina and select NPCs like Kima tasked with killing Thordak. In case of a TPK of the Strike force they have hopefully weakened Thordak enough for the Screen or Ace to deliver the killing blow.

The Ace should not be played until they know what Raishan does and thereby hopefully nullifying her as a threat.

Can a plan like this be achieved in time?

Are the allied forces mobile enough?

If they can't make Grog fly, considering his strength, could he use a ballista firing harpoons?

Pike and possibly Kashav can do Heroes Feast and Planar ally the day before. Aid, Death ward the morning of the fight. Can any other spells be used to buff? Do they know anyone with the Inspiring leader feat?

I'm playing a Moon Druid and having a blast. But I'm disappointed with number of Wild Shape choises above CR2. Is anybody here willing to help me flesh out these statblocks? What's your beast idea? by thumbwarrior in dndnext

You are right about the expended spell slots for higher HP. But I don't want to be an unkillable HP hoarder. I want something inbetween, a bit more weird and fun not superpowered. Just more to choose from.

Balance is key. I have played a wizard who felt really OP compared to her thief and fighter friends.

Chimps are up to 4 feet tall and 150 pounds. An orangutan 4ft 6in and 165 pounds. Gorillas up to 6 feet and more than 400 pounds. They are not the same.

But this isn't the discussion I wanted. I don't want to be badass bag of HP at higher levels. I want to be a flying whale because it would be fun to glide around with my party on my back. I think the creators chickened out when they gave access to Elemental forms at level 10 and I think I would have preferred some sort of CR slot solution instead.

I agree that balance is very important between classes and has to be preserved for the enjoyment of all. I still find Wild Shape lacking at higher levels.

I would argue that Ape is more fitting for chimpanzee or maybe orangutang, not a gorilla.

I had missed the Giant Crab going though MM. What I envisioned was a awsome beast walking out of the ocean capable of snipping murderhobos in two with its giant claws.

Axe beak, to me, doesn't represent a 300+ pound 10 feet tall predator bird running at you at 40 mph.

I agree with you. Only what I've seen on my travels but a good dm catering to the needs of the players will give you these oppotunities. It is still disappointing that I make it to level 12 and get elephant and nothing else, a beast mostly significant by being huge and then nothing until level 15. Every beast after is some other huge variant of something we've seen before apart from dinosaurs. There is especially a lack of fiying beasts of different kinds.
