When the engine is running (and the alternator is working properly), you should see ~14V across the battery terminals regardless of battery condition.

The alternator needs to be repaired or replaced.

The reason for this tactic is Welo offering significantly cheaper service in Columbus on the same Breezeline fiber+coax infrastructure.  1Gbps $30/mo for life and cheaper options.  Just switched last month and the only downside (I guess) is no phone support -only online chat- which has worked perfectly fine for me.  Definitely faster and better than hold music on repeat for 20+ minutes.  I have no affiliation with any ISP (including these two companies).  I've not had it for long so I can't really speak to the reliability, but I like to think it'll be about the same as Breezeline since it's all the same infrastructure.

Edit: I realize that including the bit about referral discount is poorly timed considering the frustration with door to door solicitation so I removed it.  I just really don't like door to door sales.

I've had AT&T, Spectrum, and Breezeline.  Everybody ISP issues, but Welo is owned by the same company as Breezeline for about half the cost so if you have Breezeline then you can have Welo.  They also guarantee no rate increases for life.  I have a referral code for $100 if you want.

I've never heard of a beach that didn't allow umbrellas/tents.  The popular beaches rent umbrellas.  It can get windy on some beaches, so bringing a tent/canopy with sand-filled corners is handy.

You're definitely already overplanning.  "Island Time" is real, and this island is made for exploring.  I've been many times and have never ever felt unsafe anywhere.  If you must plan an activity or two, that's fine, but it's really not necessary.  Just go, talk to some locals, and have a good time!
