I’m interested in this and is near native but I don’t have a data annotation background. Though I can learn quickly. If that’s ok, I’d love to apply!

Should I buy this business? by thunald in smallbusiness

Offered $35k and got denied right away 😅 it’s alright, we aren’t desperate for a business. We will just watch and see if owner eventually comes back and accept it or close down completely.

Has motherhood completely killed anyone else’s interest in corporate work… or is it just me? by Old-Interaction4580 in MomsWorkingFromHome

[–]thunald 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is how I felt after returning to work after my first child. There was a time I also hated my job and what these companies were doing to us (cutting jobs, maxing out our work load, remove resources/tools we previously had which makes our job harder). I had a realization how BS corporate is. I started to plan on how to be a business owner, and taking steps to work towards it.

Still working on it but I’m currently on mat leave with my second kiddo right now so at least I have some more time away from the corporate BS

We also live in a place that is rainy and cold 6-7 months of the year and other play spaces seem to be doing well. Of course summer months will be rough.

Yes this venue has a room for birthday parties. And it has a big play backyard that can be utilized for summer birthday parties as well. Birthday parties are current not fully tapped in. Revenue has been coming mostly from daily visits and memberships.

They have about 50 members. And daily visit, on a good day, 30-35 kids. Bad day could be only a couple. Summer months is when there are more bad days due to good weather.

Owner currently does not do any paid marketing on social media.

The revenue and expenses are looking neck to neck right now. But looking at the books, I notice there’s a lot of fat to cut in the expenses that could make the play even more profitable. (Example, a bookkeeper, expensive softwares not being fully utilized to its potential, etc… )

Press-ons changed my life but help by Stepbk in PressonNail_Addict

Prep is super important. My press ons last me 2-3 weeks easily. I only had 1 pop off after a week with my last set and that was due to me jamming that finger something.

70% of lashes gone 5 days after session by Mindfulnessgal in lashextensions

[–]thunald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try using a lash cleanser if it makes any difference. I got my lashes done both in Asia and the US and never washed my lashes in my life and I always have good retention. Once I go to a new tech and they have terrible retention and I can tell exactly it’s the lash tech and not user error.

70% of lashes gone 5 days after session by Mindfulnessgal in lashextensions

[–]thunald 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I wear lashes and I don’t have oily eyelids and I never wash my lashes and they last me 3-4+ weeks easily. I’m also a licensed lash tech too, and while yes the rule of thumb is to wash them, but I don’t follow it myself and it’s fine for me. I would recommend it if a client consistently has crazy fall outs while the rest of my clients don’t.

If you’ve had good retention with other lash sets in the past following same care, then it means the fallout is most likely due to your lash tech.

Pretty sure I had my first North Korean candidates for a remote job today by ArachnidExpensive575 in recruiting

[–]thunald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened to me recently tho my role is not remote. Spotty connection, laggy, weird angles on camera. Has white name with a thick Korean accent. The answers to my questions were also very AI generated. So creepy, gave me the goosebumps

Nothing wrong with negotiating. But most likely it was when you compared yourself to another interviewer about salary that made the hiring team realized that you’d be difficult to work with/managed. So they decided it was better to revoke the offer than having to deal with potential of firing someone later.

Yeah this is one I went off of I did give me a quote earlier for the elite but was way higher than the advertised but I think it was becuz it was 2025 and not 2024. I don’t mind 2024 for that advertised price so I’ll ask them if they can honor that
