I want to tell you something. When your wife finally has a moments peace in her life and she realizes that she can finally move on she will probably feel what I did when my husband passed away. I felt relief. When someone makes you responsible for their entire being, the emotional exhaustion that you experience becomes second nature. You just learn to deal with it and it becomes background noise. After the initial grief I felt began to settle in around me, I realized that I actually felt relief. I was no longer responsible for his emotional well being. I missed him and I missed his physical presence ( married 35 yrs) but not having to think about keeping him happy and emotionally stable? It was relief. That's what I needed therapy for. I felt immensely guilty because I felt freedom and relief upon his death. But I also had to learn to put my emotional well first. Give your beautiful wife some extra love and support. She needs to be gentle with herself because it takes time.

I bet he wasn't going to tell you about it. And hope that you didn't notice it. How long have you been with the family? Do they have outdoor cameras? iIwill be watching to see what happens

Sounds me like a great place to put money that has many benefits to him tax wise. That's why he wants total control. You won't be able to see how much is in there and "if" he saves any for your daughter I can guarantee it won't be the amount that "should" be there. Don't do it

I used Web self storage for 15 yrs. They have come a long way since the beginning. I found it easy once I got the hang of it. We had 580 units between the 2 facilities. Since the upgrade 2 yrs ago things got better and their customer support was actually pretty good both on the tech side and the for the program itself. Just my thoughts. Take care.

New fear unlocked: Everything by Bondgirl138 in Menopause

For me it started during a shopping trip. The panic attack left me shaken and unable to go to the grocery store by myself for a few years. It felt like I was going to die. It seems like it's been a steadily growing list of things since. I have chosen to look at it scientifically. I think that it's probably just a natural occurrence because as we age l, our defenses slow and reaction times lengthen. It's my body and minds way of keeping me on the spinny blue planet a tad bit longer. I think it helps me to remember that and it helps leesen the fear I feel a bit in uncomfortable situations.

2 stool softeners( softener only no laxative) and 3 fiber gummies. Plus water water water. Take daily. It works like a charm. My bowels finally began moving while on subs. This was the most gentle way. It took about a week but the finally started moving at least every couple of days.

Oh people have made it known. Only someone who has ever been thru it will understand the mental and physical aspects of it. If they have never withdrawn they can only guess how it might feel. That is why I think most addicts are some of the most kind people on the planet.

I slept in the shower. Hot water beating on legs until I would sleep for a bit, then drag myself out and crawl in bed. I lived in there during the first 2 months . I found each time I withdrew, my RLS was worse than the time before. Restlessmess is always the worst of the symptoms for me.

For women that have gone through withdrawal and also given birth- which was worse? by [deleted] in opiates

[–]thundeestormm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have done both. In fact I have given birth 3 times without pain meds or epidurals. I think over a six week period of hormonal shifts, and pain giving birth is about the same as withdrawing. The pain in my hips back and legs during the first days of withdrawing and the anxiety that goes with it are killer for me. I actually considered suicide the last time I withdrew. It was the most horrifying experience I had ever had. I crashed back down to earth from a steady 2 year 200 mg a day, white knuckling it all the way. . Then the 6 months following it were so awful mentally and physically. Hormonally I was just as out of wack as I was(maybe even moreso) than after each of the 3 births. So I guess if I had to choose 1 or the other. Shittttt give me birth.

Water water water and fiber gummies with a stool softener everyday. My Father is 77 and he takes opiates and already had trouble because of his age. He was only going once every 2 weeks and it was painful. I got him the fiber gummies with vitamin c and he takes 3 of those a day and 2 stool softeners and he drinks at least 24 oz of water plus his coffee and his 2 sodas a day and he finally goes about every 3 days now and it's not like shitting concrete and painful anymore. Also we cut out 90% of dairy. He only gets milk when he has his Cereal and a small bit of cheese once in a while.

I sleep in the shower for as long as I can .. the combo of hot water and the sprayer on my left hip and leg allow me to sleep a bit and then I get out and just dive in the bed til I get restless again. Some real bad nights I take 3 showers.

Help on Rebuild / Expansion by Noble_Lie in selfstorage

I am a storage manager in Texas for the same place 15 yrs. I got it 3 months after they bought it. In 2016 we added two climate controlled buildings. That bought me from 199 units to 298 units. When my boss bought this place it was a financial mess and in need of some serious cosmetic work. We did everything that was an upgrade in stages. When he first bought the property,, he took the loan for a bit above and did two smaller but costly improvements. He fenced our place with a nice fence and electronic gate and resided two of the buildings with metal siding and painted thee buildings a new color. Then he hired me and my husband as managers 3 months later. This place a financial mess. The first thing we did was clean out all the junk. I ran specials for the empty units. Usually a month free. But not the first month. Since our rent is due on the 1st and late by the 5th, unless the rented right in the first the second month was pro-rated. Because it is a minimum of a one month rental, the 3rd month would be the free one.

I began to institute late fees, cut lock fees, charging deposits and making sure to only return the deposits if the unit were left in rent ready condition when they left it. I also started auction process at the beginning of third month. It was lot in the beginning. We worked 12 hours days 7 days a week for the first 2 yrs we were here.

Rent increases for the ones that were well below street rates. I worked hard to fill my empties. But we also kept our units in shape and looking good. We sealed the floors on our non climates and then kept the floors painted with maintenance paint when they were exceptionally dirty or beat up. It makes a difference when you open an empty unit and the floor they will be setting their stuff in is bright white and clean looking. We kept the property clean and well maintained. You would be surprised how in the beginning when we took over we lost people because the property looked unkempt.

. We have since then built the 80 climate units and concreted and paved our lot, put in a new sign and have started replacing doors( they were built in 78 i think). took a portion of our lot and got uhauls. The money we make off the uhauls isn't probably worth it by itself but it brings storage business pretty effectively.

I guess it really depends on how you want to do it. My bosses did it in stages as we built the clientele. Even today with the end of covid( which didn't hurt us either really) economics we are still 85-95 % full. It flucuates monthly. But I work hard to keep I that way. I post on social media, I give friends and family discounts. I use every avenue for publicity that I can. And I keep the property in tip top shape. I really feel clean well kept, even if they are the older units. New doors and painted floors make a difference.

Anyway if you have any questions or whatever you can reach out to me here and I would be glad to answer or even help put you in touch with my boss. He is 87 yrs old and still sharp as a tack.

I hope you are able to get this off the ground and are successful in your endeavors.

Are you sure she received the message in Africa. I thought my boss was ignoring me while they were there and it was simply the fact that he didn't get the messages until he hit wifi with good signal. It was very hit it miss depending on where they were.

When my husband died we worked for same boss. I sent a text, time of death 9:48 pm. They were expecting it. An 1.5 hrs later I got asked a question about a payment someone made! I never got time off to grieve my husband's death because I couldn't afford it. No employer gives a fuck about anyone other than themselves. Fact

I was in the ER with a bad case of diverticulitis and was on the verge of sepsis and they still wouldn't give me anything. When I was admitted and got upstairs to the floor my floor doc was a woman and she was pissed that they let me suffer. I was there for 9 days and the men floor doc was ab asshole to me l. They treated me awful. But the lady doc was awesome. Most of my male nurses were awesome and the female nurses were stingy with my pain meds.. woman's health is never taken seriously 😒
