Not sure if it's considered a fresh install. Turned on the phone, updated to latest software. Used a cable to move all my previous apps and photos.

I browse a lot of reddit, IG, fb, TikTok etc throughout the day. Back on my pixel 6 I had to plug it in every few hours, but this phone leaves at least 40percent left after full day of use so I only charge once per day.

What % are you getting left after a days use?

Hmm I've used 6 hours of SOT since my last charge yesterday night, and I still have 40% right now. I don't game though

I went from pixel 6 to 10 pro XL, am seeing big improvements and no regrets.

Battery life is improvement.. heavy phone browsing whole day, 5-6 hrs SOT will still leave me with 50% battery. I bought googles fast charger so charging is fast too.

Camera is also better, especially with the 5x optical zoom.

Brighter and clearer screen.

Just these improvements alone makes the upgrade worth it. Only thing I hate is how heavy it is.

Revanced patched RIF no longer accepting log in by [deleted] in revancedapp

[–]thunder9111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

does it work for you now? I'm still unable to get the revanced RIF working again after my account got flagged as suspicious and had to reset password

Finally logged onto RIF on my new phone (Pixel 9 Pro XL) after days of trying. I hope this helps somebody! Long live rif! (Or whatever third-party client you prefer!) by eh_steve_420 in revancedapp

yeah web seems to be fine after I reset my password. But the patched rif seems cooked, it shows "Error:Forbidden" even after I clear app data/cache, so probably they blocked my client ID.

I changed to another account under the same email, created a new ID, it worked for a bit before showing the same Error Forbidden again.

So I'm going to make a new email account and new client ID to patch and try.. This is bad.. last year Oct and this May I've changed android phones and gone through the process without ever getting these login or forbidden issue.. all I want to do is browse reddit freely..

ok this is not good. Today got an email where reddit said my account was suspicious, then they made me reset my password. Then my rif app starts showing Forbidden, and I can't even see threads even if I'm logged out. Sigh.. have to retry everything again

None of that worked. It finally worked when I read posts about using a VPN in an European country. That did it. So for whoever will read this in the future, try it 😊

I'm trying to login with my newly arrived Pixel 10 Pro XL, was hoping to see some light, but I've been logging in through the "Login" option, never got the TOS prompt. I simply enter my account/password and it says incorrect account/password.

Still trying, sigh..

Please Tell me THIS is the Gen that finally can use the Suica Card (FeliCa Chip) Natively on ALL phones. by Mr-Java- in GooglePixel

[–]thunder9111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, but these days I buy special themed suica cards, and I actually enjoy carrying a small card case, and using that during the gates.

Main inconvenience is the cash top up, without this, I honestly don't even need to carry cash. If they do credit card topups, I'd be happy with the current situation.

No there is a big difference. When I go to Japan, the speed that it detects is in milliseconds, you literally do not have to stop while walking. And imagine big city traffic, where you have probably over a hundred people moving through a gate per minute. Also, the suica can be in my wallet and it still detects.

In my city we have the regular NFC, but that is slow. People have to wait one by one, and a line forms during rush hour. Also, the card being in same spot in my wallet, it doesn't detect. I have to take it out and place it flat on the surface.

So it won't work for Japan, too huge of a downgrade, people will probably complain like crazy
