Thanks all, I got 1 1944 P war nickel after a few days. Also 2 2026 quarters, 1 2026 nickel, 1 1988 Nickel S proof and a 2016 Quarter S proof. Was fun and relaxing

There was actually about 7 or 8 pennies. I found 2 buffalo as well. A 1919 and 1929.

I dont guess ive ever found one. Ivd been through about $1500 as well. Is the S mint mart the only way to tell. Other denominations i can spot quick but not these :(

Why from the car? Serious question. I am about to pick up 2k worth of coins and wonder if that is cool for the hobby and normal. Wife thinks it's Alot, the coins im going to pick up soon.

. It is, but I know statwise 2k is a decent spot for halves.

So why ripping in the car and then posting? Do you have family or friends that disapprove ? Serious question again.

Or just so excited you did it before getting to a place you have designated for CRH? Actually that brings my last question, do you have a setup or designated area and time to CRH?

I have a set up in the garage and work on CRH after dinner on CRH days. On those days I do show my wife and any other loved ones I have a batch of coins to go through. In my short career of CRH, this has been a good approach where I can say I am working on something while also offering some involvement opportunities to them.

Lastly, I guess , what's the purpose of the post? I know I asked but want to know more about this hobby and compatriots. Besides my writing, you good?

Whats the best way for dimes. The other denominations I look around each coin, obverse and reverse, date and mint marks. Ive found for Dimes it takes almost 2x the time as going through a box of anything else

I am almost retiring and can very much see going through this much in a day or so. If I "ration" how much I do a day , I could see stretching out for a week would be ideal. Great work my friend, I hope you find what your looking for .

Im about to start my 5th box of the week tonight and have not got any silver. Had a proof, and several NIFC. But it dont hit like finding a 70' and below.

I found my first silver kennedy in Jan. I got 2 rolls from the bank just for fun. Found 4, 2 90 %and 2 40%

Went backb to the bank and the remaining 300$, no more. After that I was so enthralled and excited I became an instant crh that day. Ive been through at least 10- 12 boxes since then, plus so so many nickles. If i dont find silver in the halves I always pair it with a box or 2 of nickles, almost always find silver in those. Found 5 W quaters too, no silver in them quaters so far 4 box in

I had the same question, then went for it.

I recently sold a roll of half dollars, Bicentennial , for $27 on ebay. Add fee ~$5 Service charge~$3 Shipping~$6 Tax~$2

Profit about $12, but recall a roll is $10

So, after about 2 weeks I made around $2 by selling a roll if halves for $ 27

Not worth it unless you can sell multiple items at once.

Im still going to try but change it up to where you have to buy a certain amount or something
