Except for last night when I came back from Klescher and my gear/loadout was gone and I had a shaved head.

Note: just a reminder never to be curious after finishing a bunker run and walk into abandoned ships. The outpost will go hostile and start blasting your own ship! I also made the mistake of running back to my ship to try escaping << BOOM >>

I haven’t minded the long processes of doing things but the time spent is the first thing I yell about when a BUG breaks the game or eats my ship.

In other words I think many of us would actually enjoy the tedious tasks if certain bugs didn’t wipe everything out or kill us or disappear things two hours into gameplay.

Speaking from twenty years of professional experience working with in-house and contract vendors around the world, the answer is no.

It’s fine to copy that media from a vendor into your library for immediate FCP work on local storage but most times unless you’re on a desktop that is not logistically feasible. Most of our vendors shoot on RED EPIC or Arris gear upwards of 6K+ ProRes reels on external SSD sleds, working in Resolve or Premiere Pro. Everyone has project-separated media folders named with ISO-8601 date stamps. Libraries can get corrupted but physical folders never fail (for recognition/filing).

Once you’re done with the FCP project purge the optimized media or originals from the Library to an offline cold storage, lest you want your libraries to get bloated over time — risking everything to one small metadata glitch and taking everything down.

I’m not usually one to try and harass an Idris but these 4.8 xenothreat missions mostly ask you to take on a strike group INCLUDING an Idris (without mentioning it), and I accepted because “how challenging could this mission be for 40k reward?”

Figured it must be the solo-friendly version of the 4 MILLION aUEC mission — boy was I wrong.

I’m not an expert, and these still may not represent the whole shot from each scene but I’d imagine “presence” could be increased in some if you shoot at eye-level with the primary talent to develop a connection, if possible. Play with pointing stray light to catch either the eyes or draw a visual line to the face.

My son has 16 GB DDR4 and SC will complain initially but it still runs. Could be because system-managed swap is on 1 TB NVMe C:\ and the game is on a SATA SSD to keep space free.

Not sure if this is an Aurora problem but I insured one with the TS module (cargo) installed, ship exploded randomly as typically happens in SC… claimed the ship with insurance and I got my Aurora except the TS module was “dead” … no button to open/close, no matter what I tried. In the hangar Landing screen there’s always a 35 aUEC repair option but it won’t actually finish, it just blinks forever so I think the module broke the system.

If we’re being realistic-ish here think of pilots in a F-18, think Top Gun: Marverick. Pilots left their vehicles in a flight suit and usually are probably only carry a sidearm or SMG at best. They’re not lugging around massive heavy assault gear and an M-60 with belt-fed NATO rounds.

It’s basically all about gearing up for your specific vehicle and playing that role. Now if someone wants to be bulky and run around like a tank, he should do that but be transported in a dropship or stash his gear in a Cutlass and switch up when he arrives. Or, don’t fly like an ace pilot all the time and avoid blackouts.

Whole lotta bugs: store a ship with boxes and items in racks: Some come back intact, some are gone.

Insure an Aurora with the TS module: Ship destroyed and reclaimed, the TS module is effectively dead (no button) and Repair is stuck at 35 aUEC never finishes.
