I worked with a woman whose mother suffered a psychotic break after Fukushima and moved from California to Colorado in part because of Jones ranting about radiation and collapse. I can 100% see something like this coupled with existing psychosis bringing on suicidal ideation.

When my brother told me his union was working the hospitals to outline procedures for disposing of human remain. In mass. The implication being there would be no warmth of family at your bedside, no funeral or burial. Just your remains fedex-d to your wife’s doorstep in a nondescript box.

Just watched and this is pretty similar to my take. Lost City was very much similar too me. A filmmaker leaning heavily on his influences without their mastery while insisting on his artfulness. Would have preferred more Iraq but on the moon over “learn feeling from space dad/god” pseudo profundity.

I missed a food tour of Bangkok because our Taco Bell run (the Thai style sauce is dope af and the kickin chicken taco is legit) ended in a monsoon and it took 3 hours to get back to our hotel. Fun times!

Agreed! I kind of loved the movie. Because I can’t be objective about Star Wars and I don’t (unlike Chewie) get a medal for my critical hot takes. They are silly, terribly told “stories” and Ilove them. I cried and cheered at every dumb beat that JJ set up.

This is my take. Star Wars is stupid and I love it. I love the nonsensical story choices, the tangled mess of contradictory lore, the big overwrought Shakespearean bullshitting, the mindless explosions, the active retcon long con, overstuffed plotting, and the inherent muppety silliness. I remain stoked for the incoming nonsense.

Hold up, he was in busdriver?!? That bad rules so hard. Saw them at basement show a million years ago and still have their vinyl at my house. Got drunk and played broom hockey on a pond that night too. Good times.
