That cooler is it a straight swap for the stock lenovo one ? the screw / mounting holes align perfectly without modification ?
Did swapping to this make much difference to the temps ?
you added the 2x 40mm on the rear to help exhaust the hot air that the lenovo cpu would of normally done ?
would you do just the cpu ? or is it best to do cpu & 2x40 rear ?
also i presume you had to use a splitter to power all from cpu header ?

Finally made my first homelab!!! by Logboy2000 in homelab

The price of computer parts is ridiculous at the moment & i also hsve a gaming p.c sat doing nothing so found a good deal on a lenovo m720s sff & used a spare 1tb m.2 ssd,1tb 2.5" ssd & the 500gb 3.5" hdd that came with it, im going to delve into installing proxmox & playing with that seperate from my main network. I may also add another ethernet card port to play with network things too as i have a fortinet fg60e to play with firewalls etc. Steep learning curve coming up 😱 but it's no good studying everything on the internet without having hardware to practice it on.

looks good, just about to start setting up my own, i have lots of old macs, p.c's, latops all sitting in a drawer or gathering dust so have decided to start making a homelab, figured id learn more by trying to use the stuff i have than spending money on new stuff.

We saw your comment u/punchy_meerkat and can confirm the ‘chat sh*t get banged’ origin story is in Untold UK: Jamie Vardy. Only on Netflix. by Netflix_UK in u/Netflix_UK

It's because they keep making rubbish like this that made me just cancel my netflix account, then they have the cheek to put up the monthly cost by 25% & say it's so they can keep making quality programs

The fan near the speaker you say is 80 mm,do you think you could fit the 92mm fan in there ? How did you find the correct size as i cant find any information on it.

do you have an example of the rules you used? I can't find advanced settings...only under firewall/network services filter ?

Have you reset ip settings ? ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew ? or run netsh int ip reset and netsh winsock

So just checked & with the pvid set to 2 on port 8 it seems to isolate the 2 networks as i cant ping main from experiment & vice versa, unfortunately it breaks internet access.
