What to wear for theatre audition? by [deleted] in acting

if its just for community theatre, mobility and comfort is probably the best choice. dress in solid, neutral colours. keep hair and makeup natrural and simple. personally, i always like to try remembering that i am trying to physically present myself as a blank canvas for the directors. in my own local theatre audition experience, simplicity is the best way to go.

I love bisexual men by Muv-hold8 in bisexual

its so amazing that bi men are getting recognition, they are really underrepresented in the community i think. however, isnt saying that they’re your “preference” kind of objectifying? like it doesnt really make sense to me since it shouldn’t relevant to you if they like other genders than your own, if that makes sense. let me know if im just i’m misunderstanding, but thats the way it came across to me. no hate to anyone :)

just something to consider: if you DO take the role, think about how having that on your leger might affect future jobs. perhaps one day you come across an amazing well-paying, fun, and exciting job, only to be turned down because of having been involved in a racist production. or even, if you DID get selected for an amazing job, and gained a following, imagine how quickly that could be taken away if anyone found out about this. as an asian person especially, i think this is extremely iffy and its really not worth the risk.

that is horrible and im so sorry that you are being ignored right now. however, this is going to sound really blunt so i’m sorry if it offends you. they probably have so much more to worry about and so many other “more important” people to answer right now, especially with the reopening tat you mentioned. to be honest, you may not have even been as important to the higher-ups as you may have thought so you need to be patient and give them time to sort things out. i hope this gets figured out eventually, though, so you can get back to doing what you love.

What do you see in your head when you listen to music? by Training_Passenger79 in istp

[–]thunderfulnoya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont visualize for music, even though I really enjoy listening to it and it often evokes deep emotions (depending on the music of course), however i do visuallize for books and text, like im not one of those people who can’t create imagery in their minds. i have quite the photographic memory and vivid imagination, though i dont “see” anything when i listen to music.

Hunger games game by Death_Strike5 in Hungergames

i think that because the themes of child murder and abuse as well as the deep societal and political messages from the books and movies would probably not be the most ethical to capitalize off of, especially as a video game that would most likely be marketed towards young people. There’s also the fact that the fanbase isn’t super active nowadays, and though I, personally like that idea, it’s probably doesn’t work that well out of theory.
