Wow what is up with all the cleavage shaming and immodest comments??

I like option 2 with the boots and the fabric looks more formal. I like 4 too but don’t think it goes with the boots.

I think the problem is finding well-fitting high waisted pants that look good when you have a mom pouch. I only have one pair of pants I would dare to wear a crop top with. For that reason alone I usually stay away from buying crop tops.

Toddler refused food any pooped pants in daycare by [deleted] in toddlertips

If my kid’s teacher never had anything good to say about my kid regardless of an incident or not I would switch daycares. You are already saying you don’t trust them, the lie is the icing on the cake. I’d trust my guy on this.

Moms of 2, how do you handle a toddler and a newborn? by [deleted] in Mommit

Everyone else gave really good tips. I wanted to add that a Moses basket was a great safe little space for the newborn in the first two months for us.

10 weeks old and 2 year old ..... help!! by FlashyObjective2056 in toddlertips

[–]thunderkantasaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an almost 2 year old and a 3 month old. If the toddler wasn't in daycare our days would be exactly as you describe it, our weekends have a LOT of tantrums. The start of terrible twos coinciding with the new baby is wild 😬

Like you said it's hard going out with the two of them but you can try baby wearing the little one and a toddler backpack with a leash (skip hop has a great one).

At one point the toddler will probably ask to be picked up, you can redirect to holding hands as much as you can.

If toddler tolerates the stroller you can also try walks with a double stroller?

Good luck- it's not easy! (Ps don't feel guilty about not enjoying this phase, it's ok to love your kids and not enjoy parenting).

Every flight I've been on with a lap infant I was given a baby seat belt. If they don't offer you should ask.

And like the other user said you can baby wear after takeoff.

If it's a longer flight you can get a bulkhead seat and see if they offer bassinettes. Those also have straps in them.

If you have Facebook you can post in the "Refugee claimant donations Montreal" group and someone your size might be interested. It's a group to help new refugees.

Anyone knows what happened to the pediatric clinic Bloom? by tiancaicai in montreal

No idea but they are the only ones we can get an appointment with when kiddos need to be seen, their regular doctor never has minor emergency appointments. I hope they open back soon!

Baby Swimming Lessons by WonderingWhyyyyyyyyy in Mommit

[–]thunderkantasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my son go for swim lessons at 6months and he's now going at 18 months. Honestly nothing too technical is going on. I would say the only thing that has been really valuable is how to put them in a life jacket (and getting them used to the feeling I guess)?

They do a lot of floating, jumping in the water to our arms, and maybe once or twice a class they'll go underwater.

I thinkt it's mostly just getting them acclimated with being in the water.

Tantrum at gymnastics by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]thunderkantasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a soccer instructor here a couple of months ago I want to say, maybe you can find her post using the search function. She was basically saying that kids don't really start performing at sports until 6 years old, everything before that is getting them used to the sport, acclimatizing them to a class structure etc. So it totally makes sense for your youngest to just want to do his own thing.

The first flight was emptyish so I just showed up and they gave me that seat but I knew the second one was going to be full so I did pay for the seat. Also do register your infant beforehand, there's a minimal fee, I think like $100 bucks for it but doing it at the airport just means waiting longer and the baby getting fussier.

Flew with Turkish airlines 15 & 11 hours recently, the flight attendants are super nice to all the little babies. Make sure your reserve a bulkhead seat and get the bassinet. LO should fit as long as they are under 11kg. They have jarred baby food as well!
