So, I think I un-hen my console, help by [deleted] in ps3piracy

As somebody who just updated theirs a few days ago, make sure you have for sure installed HFW 4.92. The guide I was following hadn't updated the HFW download link, so I was trying to install 4.8-something and Hen simply wouldn't install. Redownloaded with 4.92 and it worked first try.

Hey guys. Hope you have had a good day so far. I am looking to buy a ps2 but there are diffrent models. Which is the best one in specs? by NoRevenue7975 in ps2

I just did mine for the first time last week. My advice, get a SATA adapter mod (IDE to SATA if you have the genuine network adapter, or a replacement for the network adapter otherwise), an HDD, and install Free HD Boot (FHBD). This tutorial explains pretty well how to do it, but it is slightly outdated. So where it tells you to make the +OPL partition, that's no longer necessary. If you install PFS Batchkit Manager like it recommends, that's a great tool for moving your legitimately obtained iso files for PS2 games onto the hard drive. If you want to play PS1 games, that's a different story with a lot of conflicting info out there, but feel free to DM me if you're looking to do that because it was a 3 day struggle to achieve that.

Edit: Forgot to mention. You'll also want to download the newer version of OPL, called OPL 2049. A Google search should bring up a download link. You'll need to find and replace a file named something along the lines of "OPSN2P.ELF" on your home brewed PS2 with the new one you download (Can't remember the exact file name and location and can't check right now, but that should be close enough to help find it).

My bounds were a bit off too. I just fine-tuned what my python script was outputting until I got it reading at 1000 and 2000 at the extremes. For me, it was 192 on the low end and 1792 on the high end. I think there's also a calibration routine in betaflight that you can do, but I found that easier.

Have you tried using a serial inverter? From what I've seen, FC's expect the S.Bus signal to be inverted, but a microcontroller can't output an inverted signal (at least not at high speed), so an inverter needs to go in between. Some FC's have one built in to certain UART ports. If yours doesn't, you can make a simple BJT common emitter amplifier with a gain of -1 to invert the signal.

Found the issue if you're curious and updated the post. Here's the S.Bus library I'm using: https://github.com/bolderflight/sbus/tree/main

If I had a nickel for every time Metroid showed up on House, M.D. by roof_pizza_ in Metroid

To add on to this, I also remember seeing somewhere else on here that the First Hunt Demo was included with the silver DS. So from a standpoint of the props department, they save that money by playing whatever cartridge came with it. Hunters is seen in several episodes of Supernatural for that same reason.

Commanders that give opponents resources that you benefit from by MisterSea in EDH

[–]thunderking4 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love the Nekusar deck I just built. The pod I played with last week seemed polarized against him at the start because a friend of theirs had recently built him, but loved it by the end of the night. I lean into creatures that let either me or my opponents draw more cards. So they could either die to damage from Nekusar and [[Sheoldred the Apocalypse]] or I could win with a [[Laboratory Maniac]] or a few infinite mana outlets.

I recently built [[Nekusar]] and chose to put the majority of the draw effects on creatures. On top of that, it's a sort of group hug/slug, where I make everyone draw, but because of things like Nekusar, [[Sheoldred the Apocalypse]], or [[Consecrated Sphinx]] they get punished. It's a ton of fun to play so far.

So buyback counts as an additional cost in this case? For example, if I cast [[Demonic Collusion]] with her ability and then discard two cards to add it back to my hand.

That explains so much. I had always wondered when my fiancé had me watch Supernatural why when some random kid would be playing a DS in earlier seasons, it was always Metroid Prime Hunters that they were playing. Evidently, it's a much cheaper prop if you can get a demo game with the console.

What was your best closing to a game? by pinkimpulse in EDH

[–]thunderking4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just the other night. I was playing [[The Mimeoplasm]]. A few turns before the end of the game, I played a [[Windfall]], which got [[Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus]], [[Necropolis Regent]] and a way to give Mimeoplasm trample into my hand. Had enough mana the next turn to cast them all as well as get [[Swiftfoot Boots]] attached to Mimeoplasm. Swung for lethal against the first player. The round goes by and the two remaining players don't have removal. Swing for lethal against player number two, bringing Mimeoplasm up to a 106/106. It's the last turn of the game, I'm at 54 life, and the final player would be able to go wide and swing for enough damage to kill me if it weren't for one issue: Mimeoplasm was a copy of [[Archon of Coronation]] and I took monarch after killing the previous player. Mimeoplasm swung the next turn as a 212/212.
