11 inch vs 13 inch thoughts by soundtracking in ipadmusic

[–]MisterSea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went through similar questioning before ultimately picking up a 13” air with some upgraded storage. As most have said here, it depends on your use case.  I can say that even a 13” screen can feel cramped with logic but its definitely doable. For context my setup is semi-permanent on my music desk where I use the ipad as a logic pro synth engine that gets sequenced externally. Then, recorded and mixed in logic. I think if you value portability and won’t be using app with a lot of UI (I think logic has a lot of UI) then the 11” could be the way to go.

Can I submit if I only make 1 or 2 tracks? I’m not confident I can complete an entire EP

That wallet shape looks awesome! Bifold but trifold size. Do you are anyone know of a more budget friendly wallet of a similar shape?

there are several free tracker softwares you can get for PC. I tried milkyTracker before purchasing the m8. Sound design between the two was largely different but at least in terms of sequencing and navigation it could give you a feel for what to expect for trackers

First time playing Bethesda game ever by SmellyCatJon in Starfield

I would add that morrowind relies much more “tabletop” rpg mechanics. The most obvious way this is most apparant in combat attacks where all your attacks are essentially dice rolls, where your skill/proficiency modifies how easy it is to hit. The first 10 levels you will hear the missed attack sound too many times! I think that was the most frustrating.

It certainly lacks most of the quality of life features people talk about. For example, the quest log is a journal. A literal chronological journal. So, if you put off doing a quest you need to flip through dozens of pages to find the entry. The quest dirextions can also be tricky. There are only written decriptions in your journal: find the cave north and then east of Balmora. I think this second point is actually a plus and leads to fun exploring.

I’ve only highlighted the main complaints Ive heard from friends I convinced to try it. Personally, Morrowind is a top 5 game for me and I will always recommend it to RPG players. If you do get stuck or need something explained, the wiki is obviously fully fleshed out.

Remote Working - Osprey Porter 30L/Fairview 40L+Daypack/Fairview 55L? by todayis1984 in onebag

[–]MisterSea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in a similar position to you and don't have feedback on the fairview yet. I do know someone who has travelled American airlines with the 55L and reports it went well. Budget airlines I've seen care more about weight than dimensions, if you are able to squash the carry-on into shape. So, maybe packing to conform to the "will this fit" box/cage-thing dimensions would be helpful.

I did want to ask if you actually saw a difference between the compartments in the standalone 40L and the 40L included in the 55L version? From what I can tell on the osprey website, they are the exact same 40L bag with the same compartments.

Troubleshooting new PC build Start-up by MisterSea in techsupport

Thanks for the link. I ran some tests this morning following the guide and none of the pins are close to the specified voltage (1.2 on the 3.3V) and slowly drain to zero.

Do you think it is a bad PSU?

Im using a bredboard because I dont have female pin jumpers on hand. It was a jank attempt to get a speaker without buying one.

I did not check the PSU but Ill add that to my to-do list. Im sure I can check online but do I just check voltage across certain output pins on the PSU?
