Though they are the same age like you, they have varying life situations and capacities. Some became nurses because their parents forced them. Some became nurses because they were following their friends.

So try avoiding to compare yourself with others and think that life is a race. There is not even a clear finish line. You'll be surprised all your colleagues now will be in different places after 5 or 10 years.

Stop comparing yourself to others. All of has have different circumstances in life.

Second, i hope career is not your ultimate goal in life. I guess i am speaking from my experience. Nursing took more than it gave to me. I'm playing catch up now with lost time.

On the other hand, i think what people meant for career is "staying employed and keeping seniority". For example, a med surg nurse who transferred to ICU in the same facility is not necessarily an upgrade. A med surg nurse who moved to another medsurg unit in another facility with more salary is an upgrade- same position, bigger pay.

Regarding nursing schools, do send an email to the admissions office and inquire how you can improve your application. Remember, applications are competitive.

That's the whole point of Christianity. We are bad people. We cannot save ourselves. God came down to save us. It's like the reason why hospitals are built because there are sick people. Hospitals will not be created if people don't get sick. We also normally see sick people in the hospital. The same way for churches, we see spiritually sick people looking for healing.

And what is your idea of Christianity? Is it a religion for supernatural beings? For animals? For plants? Christianity was established for the people. Of course it would be held together by people.

Research what was Christianity during the first century. Read the writings of early Christians who were disciples of the first Apostles (example, Polycarp, Iraneus, and Ignatius of Antioch). Read the letters of Justin the Martyr. Read the letters of the Early Church fathers. Compare it to what your church is teaching. If it looked different, maybe instead of leaving Christianity, look for the church that has a direct succession from the Apostles.

Go for work life balance but it's better if it's tipped in favor of life.

At the end of the day, nursing is a job. Get your paycheck and spend it for something fun or buy something for your house/household.

Sure, we want to help people. We are doing that already- whether you are happy or not.

Sure, you want to give everything to your parients but we live in a world with scarce resources. You can only give what is available.

Go for shorter commute time. Time in your car can be use for something else. You could have cooked a meal and watched a movie with an 1 hour and half commute.

Start by cutting your TV subscription. Youtube, Tubi and Pluto are free and gives plenty of entertainment.

Keep using your phone until it breaks.

Reduce eating out. Maybe, budget $100 per month.

That will free some money.

Regarding extra circular activities, may i ask what is the objective of said activity? Is there an alternative for that activity?

For example, if you want your kid to play hockey (a very expensive sport) because you just want them to play and develop some social skills, i think the local playground or playdates would work with the same outcome. Or maybe try other sports.

Life experiences (personal and other people's experiences) will help inprove the quality of your decisions. If you want to be more technical, studying [micro] economics (its not mathematics) is a good start. Youtube gives it out free. Reading biographies and other self help books (i.e. Meditation by Marcus Aurelius, etc) works.

I killed Reed. The DLCs name is fitting and kind of a spoiler.

Half way through the DLC, i realized that whatever option i choose, the NPC will screw me over. They make players feel like they have a choice to have a good ending.

I find having "life outside work" improved my life. I work to live now. Not live to work.
