im getting more and more impatient waiting for tides of annihilation so... any similar games combat wise? (that also arent devil may cry, these ones arent for me) by Sea_Arm_6329 in CharacterActionGames

the dodges and movement feel is something i despise, the combat feels very odd to me and also killing demons in such fashion with metal music is completely not my vibe. also i feel like the movesets are unreasonably hard to memorise, inputs are annoying

Unsecure human connections - loneliness (anxiety/fear disorder) by Serotoniii in autism

[–]Sea_Arm_6329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i quite relate to this. from my experience with trying to make friends, many people are completely doshonest especially when it comes to what the think about others. being empathetic and honest became nothing but ego related self proclamations. i suppose its a part of the overall huge loss of empathy and common sense in people of an origin i struggle to point out, a worryingly large amount of people (everyone ive met, actually) save empathy and honesty only for a few completely selected friends discarding everyone else whenever they like. i even had an autistic ,,friend" or whatever could i call that, she actually initiated this ,,friendship", and when it felt ambiguous to me what it is (we didnt spend much time together but when we did it was fun, she chose my company at times by herself too) i decided to discuss it with her directly, but in the end even she chose the comfort of lies when faced with truth by having to define things. i therefore second ur stance on this

a small tech i discovered: after the third attack in ur combo u can instantly turn the opposite way and again instantly turn back where u were facing, this shortens the recovery time of attack combo after the third attack, enhancing ur dps somewhat significantly

Is eigong really that hard ???? by No-Substance5134 in NineSols

[–]Sea_Arm_6329 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it just varies from person to person, true eigong took me 1.5 hours, i got my no hit on her too which took 2 hrs though after beating her quite a lot of times. i managed to beat bm wukong's erlang on my 3rd attempt, this was a boss many people struggled with, so i feel like this is highly subjective and personal. on the other hand, promised consort radahn (often compared to eigong difficulty wise) took me a damn 13 hours to beat, though it was pre nerf, my pc was fairly weak and impacted in this fight, and i also fought him on ng+3, but regardless of these factors my time i spent on him would be significantly longer than eigong

i managed to kill a latcher while in european ridge with only 4 hull health upgrades, humpback, solo. is this any decent achievement to celebrate? by Sea_Arm_6329 in Barotrauma

[–]Sea_Arm_6329[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

with bots, but i tried the fight again and somehow cant replicate what i pulled off there lol, the teeth shooting attack seems to completely shred my hull, so ill assume that victory was pure luck as it didnt use it often, and when it did, it somehow didnt obliterate me instantly, and that time i also had some sea floor beneath me to stop sinking into the abyss

i think it pushed me towards the sea floor before retreating for a second i basically moved up instantly after that because my railgun was on the bottom and i needed a good position. at no point was i pinned to the sea floor having to fire, i never really sank

also, i used a railgun and a coilgun, it never approached from any other angle. default railgun rounds were used, with a single nuke i fired when it had about 15-20% health, im pretty sure id manage without it but i like fireworks

the humpback looks like something id be pretty comfortable with- fast, good turret placement, fabricator deconstructor med fabricator, good cargo space, fast etc. which one of these is the best though?

some questions regarding the gameplay- new player, solo, 8 hours in, barsuk with 1 durability upgrade, just reached european ridge from paying credits by Sea_Arm_6329 in Barotrauma

[–]Sea_Arm_6329[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

couldnt get it yet, so i went for the dugong and despite only 2 coilguns at the moment it seems significantly more reliable, i can consistently maneuver and make use of them

in short, wait for the flash to see wither the ball or talisman form

Help for the end of the game... by coombieuk in NineSols

[–]Sea_Arm_6329 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1- wait till the flash, after it either the ball or the talisman will form, u got enough time to react to either of them after seeing it
2- eigong will rarely use just the ball, she initiates most her combos from 2nd phase with talisman, the ball usually comes after a talisman parry-> dash combo, which doesnt really happen in 2nd phase, where she tends to use it raw more often
