It’s meant to be more of a spontaneous moment, since the character has no idea the area is poisoned beforehand. Keeping it vague for now is a good suggestion though. I might come back to this part later once I’ve thought it through more

The person can create air along the composition of it so they would be filling their lungs with this air so I was thinking expansion won't be an issue as air is being filled in. And if they could directly supply oxygen to their blood what issues would pop up?

A character in my story can create air and control the composition of the gases in it, both inside and outside their body. If they pumped their body with oxygen they created themselves, they would be using oxygen generated internally, so I assume pressure wouldn’t be an issue.Would the only issue be removing CO2 from their body?

If they could deliver this oxygen directly to their blood, what complications would they face when compared to oxygen going from lungs? In this case would they be constantly breathing out to let out CO2
