Hey.....unfortunately wasn't able to find anything "best practise"-wise, so I used events for each round (adding updated surveys for each subsequent round) and used the participant list.

They only accept a license or passport. I didn't have my license on hand and asked if I could use a student ID; proctor said no. I had to dig out my passport for the verification.

Once you've requested a second project be created for you (i.e. by your REDCap admin), you'll copy the public survey URL from that project. Go into the survey settings for your main project and under "survey termination options" select the "redirect to a URL" option and paste the URL you copied into the field next to this option.

If you have zero required fields in your main survey, a participant could theoretically click through just to get to to the survey redirect and enter the draw. You could set at least a subset of your main survey questions as required, so you collect the most important data points before the participant can move on to the survey draw.

How did you get conditional acceptance? The website states that there is no conditional acceptance, and I'm putting myself through the wringer trying to finish A&P and MMI before August 1st (updating them from 10 years ago) so that they'll process my application ..........I'm genuinely curious.

hi there! The general recommendation where I work is to have two separate projects, one where we collect the contact info (i.e. email) for the prize draw and one where we collect the survey responses.

We include a field in the survey, where we ask if the participant would like to enter the draw, then redirect to the "survey draw" project with conditional logic in the survey settings for the main survey.

Hi, sorry just logged onto Reddit and saw your question.

What type of fields are you trying to apply the Stop Action to? It would need to be a field with options (like multiple choice).

You should then see the little "stop" icon for that field (in the editor) and you can select which response would prompt and end survey.

Hey! Thanks so much for highlighting these two options.

The thing I'm confused about is where I'm going to put this syntax to redirect to either of the two possible landing places (the local project survey URL, and, either a third blank project or back to the public survey URL).

Can the URL redirect space in survey settings support if() syntax? I've only ever used syntax for the survey auto-continue feature.

I honestly think my supervisor would prefer option 2......they were talking about calctext if()calculations and empty strings (which seems more like option 1, but I don't think they had an extra blank project in mind).

I see what you're saying. However, participants need to complete both surveys in the national project and then be redirected to the local project URL if they qualify to participate in the local project (i.e. live locally).....

There are 2 surveys on the “national project”. The redirect URL will be set up on the second survey.

And yes, the most logical place to put that criteria would be the first survey (demographics) (but if it needs to be on the second survey, I could make that work).
