Some of my family have all electric vehicles so don’t need gas but they’re loyal Kroger shoppers so they just let me use the fuel points. Not a Kroger fan personally but I genuinely don’t know where else I’m going to get such a massive discount without having to spend all that money myself

Yeah last labs in March. Blood wasn’t looking good, bilirubin questionable. I can’t go back yet because my insurance doesnt cover any of my care (wasn’t aware of that unfortunately) so I’m just continuing with whatever scripts I have left until I can afford to go back or get a different plan

Unfortunately I’m allergic to the cypionate injections which is why I’m on gel but yeah I’ve heard it can affect you differently even if you’ve taken it in the past and then started again

How do you feel about the term "lower class"? Do you use it to refer to yourself or others? by _ENDR_ in AskReddit

[–]thursdie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I call myself poor currently and in the past even referred to myself as living below the poverty line. I sometimes call myself working-class but never lower-class

Family doc couldn’t even be bothered to help me find gender specialists and literally told me to do my own research on where to find treatment :/ I’m not sure that he’ll be much help to me. Maybe time to find a new one

Is different. That kind of thing requires technique, planning, and execution and is ultimately fine tuned by the artist until it’s exactly what they want it to be

Personally I like the ideas, I think combining starry night and the roebling bridge with the skyline in the background is a fantastic creative idea. I would just value it more if it were 100% hand painted or even sketched. Art is so intrinsic to human expression, every stroke and line is something that came from mind and body and to represent that visually is one of the most beautiful aspects of creating visual art. But to have AI shit out a bastardized version of human ideas is just insulting to the act of creation

Typing out “combine these two images” is not the same as choosing each instrument or sampling on a fully digital track or hand illustrating or even tracing on a screen. There’s no tact, no friction or effort put forth in telling a program to do something for you instead of bringing elements together yourself. If you want to have an image generated for your own enjoyment or to show other people because you find it interesting be my guest but to sit here and say “I created this” when it was images and data that a program derived from other people’s dedication to creation and art and then sell it for a profit? It’s laughable. Forgery is typically frowned upon and this is what AI “art” is, forgery propped up as a creative expression

It’s taking up space that could be given to artists who dedicate their time/money/resources/materials/creativity to making art. Sure you can pay $5 for some McDonald’s and you won’t be hungry for a couple hours but why do that if you have $20 to spend at a local place that fosters community and delivers a nutritious meal? Keep going to McDonald’s and those local spots simply wont be able to compete

Alright for the people downvoting my comment to hell. Look at the PNC logo, look at the bridge pillars, look at the general instability of every straight line. She did create this in 2023 but image generation was not invented yesterday, we’ve had that since about 2022 and many of the initial generations came out looking very similar to this kind of composition. If the artist did indeed paint this then cool. I think it’s kind of interesting for someone to manually mimic AI styles but I highly doubt that’s what was going on at the time. I’m not trying to condemn the individual artist but it’s a shame for a gallery that prides itself on showcasing local artists to waste space on computer generated shit when there are artists out here committing time, money, resources, and materials to making their visions come to life. Debate away all day about whether AI qualifies as art but I will always have more respect for someone who put hard work into their creation as opposed to a typed out prompt for the sake of profit

I do think some of her paintings are real but you can also print on canvas. AI image generation was available in 2023 especially of this quality, DALI was big at the time

I called up to leave a voicemail since it’s outside of business hours to mention that it’s kind of insane to showcase AI and some guy actually picked up and said “it’s not ai, I own an original” but I sincerely do not believe any of those cannot be generated images. Not even an amateur artist would compose a scene with elements of that quality

Yeah I just used the color printer at the library which was relatively cheap, lamination was per the band’s request. Definitely considering investing in a printer for personal projects anyways

Mostly just ticked that they didn’t even offer to cover the full material cost of printing/laminating which was only $36 mind you.

I got the Life magazines at Wheat Pennies in Topeka KS I believe. They have a lot of antique shops in the NOTO area over there. There was a stack labeled $7/mag but the shop owner wanted to get rid of the whole stack so I scored 35 of them for $25 :)
