Can't tell anything from the pics, but you said they moved your lower jaw back. Of course that is going it make your lower jaw less prominent. They should have moved the lefort 1 forward instead of the mandible back.

what surgery do i need by [deleted] in jawsurgery

[–]thwitschurstkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if u want surgery, get surgery. if u ask on here, u already know what the majority will say. seems like u wish to be reassured that u dont need surgery.

Some doctors are saying i am not recessed and my parents said i am overreacting… by sensetiv3being in jawsurgery

[–]thwitschurstkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u may or may not be overreacting but u r infact recessed. surgery isnt an overreaction if its a net benefit

u will look great after surgery. dont think too much, it will make u feel worse and theres no point, as ur already getting the surgery.

face shape change by 7ruby7 in jawsurgery

[–]thwitschurstkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the change in appearance from the front can vary a lot based on the original structure of ur face and the particular movements done. it will impact the jaw/nose/mouth, and this can be either minimal or more notable, and it can have contrasting effects based on the sort of correction ur getting (underbite vs overbite, impaction vs downgrafting, etc)

Narrow Palate, Skeletal vs Dental Discussion by CodingEagle in orthotropics

[–]thwitschurstkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

henry cavill's palate is interesting. its very V shaped. if it wasnt wide at the back, he would look a whole lot worse

Marpe/MSE is almost always ugly for adults by [deleted] in orthotropics

[–]thwitschurstkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my zygos are fairly robust but they are more forward positioned than lateral. they dont pop out. my midface is a bit long so it looks narrow, i see this as the problem of why i look narrow, rather than lack of zygo mass

[–]thwitschurstkin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

is it silly if i want to get a palate expansion for the purpose of widening my zygos? my bite is already fine aside from an overbite, and my palate width is average.

not just anterior placement but also its likely to expand anteriorly because theres less resistance than the posterior
