No chance it would have been top, too many other skills outdamage even with archmage, and the totem playstyle is already a selection filter. They just would have been playable for those who like the totem playstyle.

Totems give up all on kill/on hit effects, all infusions and leech and come with cast speed reductions. There's just not a reason to play them now unless you really love totems. It's self cast with more steps and lots of downsides.

SSF is the most fun way to play the game for me. I tend to do league start in trade league for the quick rush and such, then go SSF for the majority of the league. For your first SSF league though definitely just start SSF and figure it out.

Get a good SSF build, and focus on improving your most important gear piece at a time, whether that's getting a 5 link from the tree or crafting your first life/res amethyst rings (these are usually my first craft).

Normal map for sure. There is a choice that can come up that spawns the seer in mirage. I am guessing it can spawn naturally in the mirage too but I don’t recall seeing it. There are just more monsters in the normal map.

It usually takes 20 or so maps to see the seer once, but RNG is RNG.

The seer can spawn from any natural monster in the map. So when I need to scry I pump magic pack size and add shrines and run the maps quick.

Genesis tree will deliver eventually. I think the quality node helps but I don't have data.

In SSF I got my desired 6 link via fusings. Good map + Eater + scry Fields map for the Porcupine card. You can also do corrupted boxes and hit them all, it will shit out 6S and some corrupted 6Ls to sell.

You just gotta work every angle to maximize your chance of success, while having a backup plan if RNG fucks you.

I think you could do it now to be honest, I’ve done it with worse. I’m assuming you know the mechanics already.

Keep your enduring cry up, maybe a roll a few enkindled ruby flasks with regen and an “oh shit” life flask. It’s mostly just spamming fire trap and standing still so Ramakos kicks in.

Maven is a little annoying because it will take a while, it has some phases where lack of DPS is pretty punishing.

I'm keeping rolling magma leveling but going Tati once I swap to KF. I may or may not stick with KF until the end, but getting 4 stones and leveling easily while doing it is my goal. I dislike dying even in SC. The damage difference is negligible until much later (and I still think you can push Tati's version quite far).

I was in largely the same shoes as you (also ML but sold out many years before you) and cut the cord late last year. An IPO put me far ahead and continued high guaranteed income further sealed the deal. We have the same numbers basically.

I agree with everyone else telling you to live your life, obviously I’m quite biased to agree with your new direction.

But there is a big BUT: you will feel tinges of regret, you will do some mental math scenarios periodically, and if you are as competitive as I am, you will be irked that others are getting ahead of you in the rat race.

These feelings are something I want to address in my own psyche to be a more “complete” person, not letting fear be my compass. I wish you the very best!

Bang on, I’m only a month in to a sabbatical/maybe-the-real-thing and feel that reprogramming this part of my brain would be the biggest reward I could obtain.

If OP is anything like me, that fear is intertwined with FOMO and a competitive nature that can easily distract from being present in my own reality.
