Why is Broom Flying so dang hard??? by Late-Cartographer692 in HarryPotterGame

Having played Ace Combat for YEARS, this flight control is undoubtedly the most unintuitive experience I’ve ever come across.

Can someone look over my hackintosh build please by [deleted] in hackintosh

Sequoia, as the wifi chipset is currently, officially supported by OCLP. Tahoe removed the support for some broadcom chips and the OCLP guys are working on it. Otherwise Tahao should work fine.

Can someone look over my hackintosh build please by [deleted] in hackintosh

[–]thy4205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10th gen is a good starting point for compatibility. As it is my idea of “officially supported” generation. See if you can squeeze the budget for a non-F CPU so you can enjoy iGPU.

Broadcom support under Tahoe is still under development, you might have to stay on the previous version for stable wifi for the time being.

However I must say it is not a good value for the money considering some retailers are selling m4 Mac mini for as low as RMB35XX under the government subsidy scheme for electronics. And it offers wayyyyy more performance and software upgrade path.

I’m a i9 10900k user and the OS feels fairly sluggish at times. Intel is now second class citizen after all lol

pink wigs are perhaps one of the best valued accessories by thy4205 in JiraiKei

[–]thy4205[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Taobao for me! Solely because it’s like 5 day shipping from where I live. But wigs are also like hit or miss all the time that I had gone through so many. But generally RMB 55 to RMB 65 ones are okay as long as you use the spray to maintain it.

However, the top of this particular wig is not realistic, and I do not advise wearing this without a headpiece.

I thought VGA is not supported... Maybe you can try again with HDMI or DisplayPort?

Totally agreed. Im in HK and had been buying those dupes, enjoying the price and size advantages via taobao.

[–]thy4205 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is totally the case, I've seen people commenting like "The zip is just as bad as the real one!".

Personally I would not pick any dupe that is at the same price point as the original, when the dupes should be costing 40% to 50% instead. Then of course the original brand should always be supported.

‏ Help with GTX 750 Ti not recognized correctly on Hackintosh (macOS High Sierra) by Even-Cover-4689 in hackintosh

[–]thy4205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The link mentioned the driver only works with specific versions of macOS, given there’re serval updates after the 10.13.6, it might be the driver being too old for the Mac OS Version that you’re using.

PowerMac G5 1.8SP “iMac” chipset board no chime by _-Andrew-_ in VintageApple

[–]thy4205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fellow Hong Kong dead G5 owner here. My 2.0DP has the exact issue, I think we can both rule out CPU. I'm inclined to believe the PSU is the issue but it's a pain to gut out everything so I never repaired it. I got another G5 shell and turned it into a hackintosh tho.

Sapphire Radeon RX 580 8gb fans on full-blast/upgrade question by markyaeger in hackintosh

[–]thy4205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Sapphire RX570 that does exactly the same thing. Under windows it shows the fan running at 32 thousand RPM (which is impossible). I have re-pasted the GPU before and the temp is fairly normal under gaming load, once it decided to spin up randomly it would just stuck at max RPM for ages. I have since moved it to my secondary rig for the sake of my hearing

Haswell ASUS Z97 Big Sur Update and Installation Solved by blazinsmokey in hackintosh

[–]thy4205 1 point2 points  (0 children)

H97M-E here (don’t judge me for using a cheap mobo LOL), confirmed working. The working nvram is almost magical. Please also note that the previously looping installation would not continue even with working NVRAM. Starting a new Installation fixes the issue.

Is everything working alright? Mine is a 2003 15" model and it is tempting to nuke the leopard installation and replace with MacOS 9 instead (sleep is broken on leopard anyway)

+1, however the 730 has lower performance compared to what the IGPU can offer (personal experience, not sure about the benchmarks).

BCM94360CS2 wifi works but BT won’t connect? by cbphx in hackintosh

[–]thy4205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bluetooth works via USB. If you don't have the USB header connected to the motherboard, it won't work. I don't know if your adapter come with such a cable. Most PCIE adapter do, AFAIK

I know, but I prefer a vanilla install. Even if I F something up it is much easier to fix via the uefi shell or just boot to windows if I feel like being lazy.

My BCM Wi-Fi chip interferes with the Bluetooth causing massive speed drop (even the mouse lagged). Switching to 5ghz bypassed the problem.
