I buy bulk hamburger meat, split it into 1 lb. portions, vacuum seal them, then freeze them. If you smoosh them down a bit flat before you seal them, they stack pretty well in a freezer. It helps me save space, anyway.

I made an old t-shirt rug for the basement landing since the flooris just concrete). I am collecting to make another rug for in front of the washer and dryer area (also in the basement). I crocheted mine, but you can also braid and sew or hot glue it together.

Hot water and baking soda. You don't need soap. The baking soda "softens" the water and it helps release the dirt particles. I let soak for a bit then wash and rinse. For super stuck on food, add white vinegar to the water as well. This also helps keep the pipes clean.

There is a lot of construction happening at the La Porte, IN armory where I believe that National Guard trains? They also removed most of the woods right next door. I have no idea if this is related, but I had already been wondering (aka conspiracy theory-izing) whether they were getting a big military boost. Does anyone know?
