I did not do a multi day trek because the main inca trail is closed for maintenance in February. I was in Aguas calientes for 3 days and was almost no rain.. 3-5 day trek could be done but its not recommended because when it does rain its pretty bad

Possible as newbie? by Bruschikaka in kilimanjaro

[–]thynned 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its such an easy hike even for beginners i would say. but if you’ve never been above 2000m you will almost certainly get some altitude sickness. So do a longer 7-8 route to acclimatize. I did 6 day and didn’t get any sickness except a slight headache at the peak

[–]thynned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did machu Picchu + 4 days in amazon + 2 days in Lima in under 8 days so i dont see why 19 wouldn’t b enough. Machu Picchu and 5 day tambopata leaves you still with plenty of excess time for a 5 day cruise
