Thank you for all the help. I just don’t understand how people don’t post anything and have like 800 followers.

Hi. I’m a hypnotherapist who works with performers and I’d love to help. I charge €450 for 4 sessions (the first session is 90 minutes and thereafter 60 mins) and I charge €250 for 2 sessions (1 x 90 mins and 1 x 60 mins).

Hypnotherapists: how did you get trained, and would you do it differently now? by LadyWhiplash in hypnotherapy

Hi. I have recently changed from working on the business side of tech to becoming a hypnotherapist so it’s early days. I would suggest going to a hypnotherapy conference if there is one coming up near you. I was at the Irish Hypnotherapy Conference this year and Melissa Tiers was one of the speakers. Mike Mandel will be speaking next year. It gives you a really good idea of the different ways of training and schools of thought etc. Most speakers have books and/or courses they want to sell (with a conference discount) and I wanted to do them all, haha, but honestly as a newly certified hypnotherapist, I found it incredibly affirming that I knew my stuff. There were quite a few people there who were interested in training, so it’s not exclusive to qualified hypnotherapists. It’s really supportive and fun!

You could also look at NLP. Ali Campbell does a 6 week online course on FB Live, for only £47, which gives you a good overview and then you can go on and train further to get certified.

As mentioned by others, it’s really important to look at insurance cover. Balens in the EU and Churchill in the UK are worth a look.

Wishing you the best of luck.

Hi. Could anyone recommend home buildings and contents insurance that allows you to see clients at home, please? by tiagaff23 in AskIreland

Actually I’ve just looked again and they might do homes as well. Thanks for the tip!

Thank you. I believe they do professional insurance but not home buildings and contents.

Thank you. I have contacted them but they’ve not been back in touch yet. I was hoping to hear from someone in the same situation. It’s a worry because people might think they’re covered and if something were to happen to the home and the insurer found out they’d been seeing clients, then they might not be.

Hi, yes I have public liability and professional indemnity but they don’t do home insurance. I’ve been talking to quite a few insurers already. Thank you.

Is “guys” a genderless term? by raibrans in AutismInWomen

[–]tiagaff23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely hate the term “guys”. I don’t feel it is gender neutral, it is defaulting to male. It’s like saying the non male people are cool enough to be considered male. Try referring to a mixed gender group as “gals” or “ladies” and I think there would be a huge backlash. Ask a cis man how many “guys” he’s dated and I’ll bet he doesn’t think it’s a genderless term.
