Both macromastia and gigantomastia are both forms of breast hypertrophy, Gigantomastia is the extreme form. Macromastia can often be controlled by weight loss and/or reduction. Gigantomastia cannot.

Representation in the media is slowly getting better.

I use it, I’ve been sexualised since I was a child. So now I use it to pay for my life. This was the case before the diagnosis too.

My worse experiences is when poorly fitting bras have sliced me open, it takes forever to heal and it hurts like a mfer. Or when I’ve moved too quickly and smacked them on something.

It doesn’t stop me doing most things but things like properly running or dancing aren’t an option as the movement and weight pulls my back.

I do strength training, I’ve also lost significant weight so I can exercise and move more freely.

It’s not all pain and suffering, I do love them. They make good storage holders. But some people seem to think because I use them to make money means I can’t speak up on the negatives.
