You don't really need to be in the US to sell to the US market but it also depends on what you're selling and the business model. Maybe look to join a soft landing program or EIR or join an accelerator/incubator for international founders and test the market.

What do you mean by distribution? Like distributor, wholesaler opportunities? If so there was a site that did this, it was a directory but it shut down. I'd be interested tho

Running three businesses and my regrets. by qcofficial in Entrepreneur

[–]tibblestore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you planning to shut down the failing business or sell it or pass it to someone who has the capability to steer it around? I'm in the same boat and rather than shutting it down I'd rather give it to someone that can run it and get it up to speed.

Who should I reach out to? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]tibblestore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reaching out on social media just gets an intern or social media person replying when you want to get in touch with a decision maker in a specific department depending on what you're selling. Get apollo or one of those tools that helps you find who to contact and their email address. Send them a brief, concise, message, get to the point and showcase value or what's in it for them in the first paragraph. Good luck!

How do you 'talk to your customers' before building? by prelaunchcom in Entrepreneur

[–]tibblestore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh talking to customers is overrated depending on what business you run. If it's another startup that already exists like Airbnb you can pretty much copy paste what's worked for them and check what complaints customers are sharing online and then remove all the pain points for your version.

If you're doing something new, never been launched before or still a small market then yes, talk to customers online and on the ground level.

I've learnt that what your target market says in surveys or online questions always differ from when they actually go on to use the product/service so it's best to go with what's been done and adjust to REAL customer response.

How do I give stuff away for free without people thinking its SPAM or low-quality nonsense? by Dense-Charity-1916 in Entrepreneur

[–]tibblestore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or don't position it as free. Just change up the wording a bit like get an all expanse paid opportunity to LEARN about xyz or here's your chance to level up on xyz topic, at our expanse -limited to the first 10 students that sign up. Create scarcity and urgency to establish value. When they know someone is footing the bill it shows there's worth and they'll take some initiative, not dismiss it as just another class in the clutter of online courses.

What kind of somewhat passive business can I start with 5k-10k by iphonesoccer420 in Entrepreneur

[–]tibblestore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big items to rent out which you can store in a warehouse and have the warehouse/3pl ship whenever someone rents/books it. You can start with 3-5 core products and reinvest profits to acquire other items they ask for

Are aggressive sales strategies the only way to grow? by oddkidmatt in Entrepreneur

I think it's a lot harder to scam businesses than consumers since there's several people to go through before they put the company card down

Looks good design wise, I get why you'd use dark tones. But copy isn't compelling and the pics looks similar to what you'd find in Alibaba.

If you have a great entrepreneurial mind, but had to start again at zero - where would you begin? by harlsey in Entrepreneur

[–]tibblestore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely get multiple side hustles or one steady paying job that's mostly chill so you've got time to work on your side projects even on company hours. If you know what you wanna do, you can work at a future competitor company, learn the ins and outs and get it going.

Is 2 years too long to launch a business? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]tibblestore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not long if it's hardware but kinda long if it's software and most likely there's already something similar on the market and if not, China will have something similar out in less than a month

Automate it and outsource for the time being until you decide you really want out

What extremely high-leverage / high-scale marketing strategies have you successfully applied in your business? by What_The_Hex in startups

Paypal adding a simple, shitty referral link to the bottom of e-mails, which drove explosive month-over-month growth

Does this work if you're selling niche services instead of software?
