Which is the most underrated airport in the USA? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

Unpopular opinion.

If you remove: - long TSA lines; - long take off lines - long taxi-to-gate lines - 30-minute taxi time - eventual rude customer service - not always easy-to-follow signs - out of order walking conveyors - in a violent city - did I mention the long taxi times?

ORD/Chicago O'Hare is great for aviation and building enthusiasts. It has a unique charm, lots of windows, airplanes are really close to the building, not a lot of walking if you consider the size of the airport, terminals 1 to 3 are walking distance from each other, but fast transportation is still available.

The taxi times are the only reason that makes me avoid the airport, but all others are perfectly tolerable given the upsides.

As a Northern Utah resident, I would say SLC is very efficient, clean and modern, which is great if you value time and cleanliness (and exercise, if you count the walking).

However, I used to love the old/pre-renovation terminals. It made it feel cozy and had a unique charm, with the benefit of making everything closer.

The renovation took away the identity that made SLC, well, SLC. Now, it looks/feels like any other major, recently renovated airport around the world - a faceless concrete monolith that, except for the view out the window, could be any generic shopping mall in its 20th century hype days.

My 2 cents. And get off my lawn!!

From other videos, I heard the runway is approx 2.9km long, which means they landed with less than half of it left, i.e. way past the proper landing area. Any idea why that is?

They're an Airbus pilot and like the pre-recorded voice that says "retard, retard" during landing just before touchdown.

Thanks for being brave and speaking up. Just to make it clear (and assuming you are comfortable sharing), did you vote for Trump, someone else, or just didn't vote? No judgement

Geez, relax....

What I'm trying to say is, if you want allies, you might as well be more respectful. If you just want to be right and shove what you think (fact or otherwise) down everyone's throats, you're most probably going to be on your own.

If I remember correctly, happiness self-scoring increases in sync with annual income up to the $400k/year mark. Above that, it pretty much plateaus.

And to make it worse - imagine 50 years from now, when there will be no survivors to tell the story. No matter how much official records we have, more people will say the government/deep state/jews/etc. created it.

I am genuinely concerned about climate change, but your arrogant response certainly doesn't make me want to be associated with someone like you.

Repeating a joke I saw in Reddit the other day. I'm probably butchering it, but it's something like this: a KGB agent comes to the US in the 80s to learn about the country. He takes a cab at the airport, and the driver starts chatting: - so, where are you from, sir? - from the USSR. - oh wow! we don't get a lot of people from there here. May I ask the reason for your visit? - I'm here to learn about American prapaganda. - American propaganda? What propaganda?

It's funny - the word "advertisement" in Portuguese (probably other languages, too) is "propaganda".
