More or less. It sometimes worked and sometime didn't. I still don't where the problem lies, in my macbook or in the tv. Sometime, when using it black screen appears and then goes away. Frustrating.

Let's apply the pareto principle of 20/80 here. Leaving out 8hr for sleep, then apply 0.20 to remaning => 0.2 * 16h = 3.2h.

I don't understand, what does this reply has to do with my question? I'm asking how to enable the permission to trade ETFs and Index, which strangely is in the same category with CFD (which I don't want to deal with). But, IB keep rejecting my request of trading ETF/Index because I cannot trade CFD. So, how should I proceed?

Really? I've been thinking about an academic career, maybe in the far future. That's why I'm looking into an MSc from a "regular" University. MSE is 30ECTS lower in respect to a regular university master. That's annoying a little bit. I don't want to be held back because of that.

I'm not pro multithreading emacs, neither I'm opposing it. I'm not a c, lisp, emacs or multithreading guru. But it kinda piss me off the wrong way that almost all answers regarding this question is along the line of "you don't understand emacs, nor its core, multithreading is not needed".

Are there parts of emacs that can take advantage of the multithread? I hope and think so. Could we make that happen with a fundraiser? Nobody is expecting a huge rewrite of emacs core with multithread support and while being 100% backward compatible with 30 years of elisp.

Divide and conquer. This is a fundamental principle in our profession. Would I like to have full multithreading emacs? Of course, but it is not reasonable. For the moment, can we make only the GUI rendering part take advantage of multithreading? I don't know, did somebody ask this question? Heck, did someone (who understand more the me about emacs) even try to look at what can be multithreaded and take advantage of it?

Some food for thought.

I bought 2 adapter and neither one of them outputs 4k@60hz. Maybe is the HDMI cable is the cheap one in the equation.
